Since becoming CEO of Javits Center last March, Joyce Leveston, CMM,CVP, has driven progress and helped instill a culture based on the phrase “We start with yes.” Trade Show Executive’s Young Professionals Corner sat down with Leveston to discuss her work, career and advice for young professionals. “My biggest advice to young professionals is to be a sponge — soak up every opportunity that comes your way,” Leveston said. “Even if the role you’re in today isn’t your ultimate goal, it’s part of your journey. Every experience, no matter how small it may seem at the time, has value in shaping who you are meant to become. Learn everything you can and approach your tasks with enthusiasm and grace.” https://lnkd.in/gacyEMga #tradeshows #YoungProfessionals #events

Javits Center kicked off the launch of its upcoming Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) with a sweet and spirted start: a bake sale! In partnership with Cultivated, Javits staff baked over 400 cookies, which sold out in under an hour, creating a tremendous buzz and sparking great excitement for what is to come. Designed to foster personal and professional growth, ERGs will serve as support networks based on shared experiences and identities. J.U.M.P.P. (Javits Uplifts Multi-Cultural People Program) serves as a jumping point to roll out these culture-critical ERG Networks, helping to build community and nurture wellness across the organization – one bite at a time!

Javits Center powered Climate Week NYC with The Nest Climate Campus, turning sustainability into impact. The event put Javits’ sustainability initiatives on full display - from an interactive 3D model of the green roof, solar panels, rooftop farm, and wildlife habitat to a live demo comparing the performance of Javits' roofing materials under heat in comparison to alternatives. I am pleased to share that I will be representing Javits Center at IMEX America in Las Vegas from October 7 to 9, alongside my colleague Stephanie Gaspari. As Chief Revenue Officer, I see Javits as more than just a venue - it is a community-focused space dedicated to supporting the companies and events we host. I would love to connect, learn more about your plans, and explore how Javits Center can help bring your vision to life while delivering real value to your organization.
