How common is unruly guest behavior in tourism and hospitality – and where does it happen most? 🤔✈️🎢 A recent article by Ady Milman and Asli Tasci from the University of Central Florida – Rosen College of Hospitality Management, published in the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Horizons (JHTH), offers a cross-sector perspective by analyzing travelers’ perceptions across various settings, including airlines, theme parks, restaurants, and others. Using data from US travelers, the authors identified three types of unruly behavior: irritating, harmful, and disturbing. The results show that theme parks record the highest levels of disturbing behavior, suggesting that crowd density, guest profiles, and physical layout can intensify tensions. Understanding these patterns helps managers design targeted interventions, strengthening guest experience, safety, and staff well-being ✅ 📎 Leia mais em: https://lnkd.in/d8bxrGTS Fevzi Okumus Emerald Publishing #tourismresearch #hospitalitymanagement #consumerbehaviour #tourismstudies #serviceexperience #hospitalityindustry #JHTH

But if robots create extra challenges or feel like a bad fit, many would rather leave than stay. 👉 How can restaurants strike the right balance? 💡The article Serving up innovation: unpacking restaurant employees’ intentions to embrace service robots, by Wenjia Han (Purdue University, USA); Carola Raab (University of Nevada-Las Vegas, USA) & Dina Marie Zemke (Ball State University, USA), published in the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Horizons (JHTH), offers some responses to these challenges. 👉 Read more about the study here: https://lnkd.in/dt25Ei4w 📘 Cutting-edge studies in Hospitality and Tourism are in the JHTH! #Hospitality #Restaurants #ServiceRobots #FutureOfWork #EmployeeExperience #HospitalityInnovation #WorkplaceCulture #TourismResearch #TechInHospitality #HRInsights #JHTH
