Today we're excited to share that we've secured 7M USD in funding to launch our next generation of AI tools for construction, as reported by Axios. The round is led by Cercano Management with participation from our earliest supporters, including YCombinator, One Way Ventures, and angels. When Brendan Ardagh and I started Provision, our goal was to simply keep more money in contractors pockets. That goal hasn't changed. We're doubling down on revenue generation tools for contractors, by focusing on pre-construction workflows. And as part of that process, we're proud to announce our latest product Scope Agent. We've heard from nearly everyone of our customers that they're frustrated with scope gaps that occur from compressed estimating timelines, inaccurate documentation, and complex documents. Today we're launching Scope Agent to help contractors identify scope within their documents, translate that into documents like ITBs, Scope Sheets, and prevent costly scope gaps. As a result, estimators will simply be able to bid on more work. Information extraction from documents won't take as long. More information in the press release below. In this business, it’s a vital skill to capture the signal from the noise and, after too many cycles of hearing “underground buzz” about Brickyard, an accelerator outpost of sorts in the City of Chattanooga, I finally got the chance to visit earlier this week.  Summary?  These guys are legit.  I was quickly impressed by how well they used the physical space to define themselves:  a run down part of the old warehouse section of Chattanooga, Teslas and Land Rovers parked next to dirt and weeds, a long row of chopped wood in front of the door, almost signaling “ I dare you to enter”.  But when you do, one almost senses an energy blast, as 100 year old wooden warehouse beams celebrate themselves sandblasted new again, contrasted against black walls and coding desks everywhere for coders to create.  The culture they’ve created to support founders is thus insular, intrepid, competitive, and determined, and the place just has that vibe I’ve seen before that suggests success ahead.  As a part of the visit, I had the chance to talk with their collective of CEOs, as Cam and Matt were gracious enough to provide Tennessee BBQ for the group lunch, and it was just awesome experiencing the drive in their eyes, the quality of their questions, and the speed of their intake.  The conversation went well past our scheduled time, but the time was rich and relevant to their chances for future success. Three items to note:  Brickyard CEOs hail from all parts the country (only 2 from Tennessee), Brickyard now receives around 10,000 applicants / year willing to move to Chattanooga to experience “the Yard”, and Cam and Matt have the credibility and experience as successful founders themselves with multiple exits who know what it takes to cultivate winners.    It was a privilege “giving back”, many thanks to Andrew at Knoll Ventures for making it happen. So, keep your eye on this community…they will outperform.  And most importantly, they’re proving that you can do it anywhere.
