We are proud to share that our Albuquerque manufacturing operation has officially earned ISO 9001:2015 certification – with zero findings in our certification audit. This rare accomplishment reflects the strength of Kairos Power’s Quality Management System, the discipline of our processes, and our dedication to continuous improvement. ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognized standard for quality management. It provides a framework that ensures consistent, high-quality practices across all areas of our manufacturing operations. Earning this certification demonstrates that Kairos Power has the formal, rigorous processes in place to consistently deliver high-quality components and reliably meet customer and regulatory requirements. As part of our Quality Management System, multiple Kairos Power employees were certified as Internal Auditors to conduct regular process audits within our manufacturing program. This cross-functional teamwork has set a strong foundation for systematic best practices, which we’ll iteratively replicate across Kairos Power facilities in other locations. Congratulations to everyone on the team whose unwavering commitment to quality made this achievement possible. 👏👏👏 #ISO9001 #QualityManagement #AdvancedNuclear #Manufacturing

Kairos Power was founded to accelerate the development of innovative nuclear technology.
About us
Kairos Power has a mission to enable the world’s transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal of dramatically improving people’s quality of life while protecting the environment. We are an engineering company focused on the delivery of a clean, affordable and safe energy solution through the integrated design, licensing and demonstration of advanced reactor technology. Growing from a broad research effort at U.S. universities and national laboratories, Kairos Power was founded to accelerate the development of an innovative nuclear technology that has the potential to transform the energy landscape in the United States and internationally. Kairos Power is focused on reducing technical risk through a novel approach to test iteration often lacking in the nuclear space. Our schedule is driven by the goal of a U.S. demonstration plant before 2030 and a rapid deployment thereafter. The challenge is great, but so too is the opportunity.

This isn’t your grandfather’s nuclear energy plant. Today’s advanced #nuclear is different. And Kairos Power, Google, and Tennessee Valley Authority are showing us how. At our #ClimateWeekNYC #EnergyTransition Summit, Jade Floyd, EVP of Communications and Public Affairs at Global Strategy Group, interviewed Jeffrey Olson, VP, Business Development & Finance at Kairos Power, to unpack their pioneering partnership with Google and TVA, a first-of-its-kind deal to deliver carbon-free baseload energy from a Gen IV reactor while protecting ratepayers and accelerating decarbonization. Olson explained how Kairos Power is de-risking nuclear construction through vertical integration, disciplined partnerships, and hands-on iteration: “Construction matters. Building matters. The fitness to build matters.” – Jeff Olson, Kairos Power Key themes from the discussion: - Pioneering deal structure: Google and Kairos Power buffer local ratepayers while expanding carbon-free baseload supply. - First-of-its-kind achievement: First U.S. utility PPA for a Gen IV reactor and first deployment under Kairos Power’s framework agreement with Google. - De-risking nuclear: Vertical integration across vessels, fuel, salt, and graphite blocks, plus partnerships with BWXT, Oak Ridge National Lab, and Bernard Construction. - Culture of iteration: “Get out there and build” – lessons from test units ensure stronger, scalable deployment. This milestone signals not just innovation in nuclear, but a model for building confidence, partnerships, and momentum in the energy transition. #NuclearInnovation #ClimateTech #EnergyTransition #FOAK #SMR

Kairos Power is building foundations in more ways than one. 🏗 In September, we installed the final drilled pier for the Hermes demonstration reactor foundation in Oak Ridge, Tennessee! The Hermes campus is a proving ground to test advanced construction methods and incorporate ideas from other industries into nuclear systems, including drilled piers. 🛠️ The experience we gain from the Hermes project will help us increase construction efficiency and refine our delivery model to lower the cost of future reactors, providing a stable foundation on which to scale. Watch our progress in the video below:

Congratulations to the team on completing the final safety-related drilled pier for Hermes 1 last week! 52 drilled piers that are approximately 6 ft in diameter and roughly 30 ft deep into the bedrock. Getting these drilled piers into the ground required an effective nuclear quality inspection program and appropriate management of material onsite. Nearly 150,000 gallons of water needed to be appropriately managed throughout this construction phase! Successful nuclear construction projects require collaborative teamwork onsite and shared alignment. Big hat tip to our partners Barnard, Berkel & Company Contractors, Inc., Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH), Barge Design Solutions, and others. Teamwork makes the dream work. Very proud of the team for getting through this phase. Getting closer to going vertical. 👊 💪

Today on The Green Blueprint: Lara Pierpoint sits down with Kairos Power CEO Mike Laufer who argues that tackling the non-nuclear parts of a reactor first — foundations, controls, power systems — combined with rapid iteration and vertical integration is the clearest route to lowering costs. Instead of decades-long timelines, Kairos has already run three engineering test units, built itself machine shops, and struck a landmark agreement with Tennessee Valley Authority and Google. 🎧 Listen here or wherever you get your podcasts: https://lnkd.in/g82sJF9n

The excitement was palpable this week at the inaugural #NECX event, where Kairos Power joined conversations about building and licensing the future of American nuclear energy. During Tuesday’s opening plenary, Senior Business Development Director Evan Cummings joined leaders from GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy, TerraPower, and X-energy in emphasizing the importance of collaboration. With a historic power purchase agreement enabling Kairos Power’s first deployment with the Tennessee Valley Authority and Google, Cummings highlighted the projects and partnerships that will jumpstart our commercial scale-up. Later, in the advanced reactor track, Licensing Director Drew Peebles explained Kairos Power’s strategy to streamline NRC application reviews, leveraging iterative learning from the first Hermes reactor to the next. With nuclear safety-related construction well underway, we’re documenting lessons learned and carrying them forward to enable efficiency and repeatability on the path ahead. Cheers to the American Nuclear Society and Nuclear Energy Institute on a wildly successful event. We look forward to continuing the conversation and sharing new progress at NECX 2026!
