I'm thrilled to announce that I've secured a role with Northrop Grumman for the upcoming Summer of 2026! It's a momentous step moving from the FBI, to pursuing an MBA at the University of Miami Herbert Business School, and now transitioning to NG. This internship opportunity is truly a dream realized, and I can't wait to embark on this new chapter! #CareerTransition #Excited #InternshipOpportunity

I’m excited to share that today I got promoted at Google! From searching random keywords as a kid to joining the company behind it all… Full circle moment. 7 years ago, I was a non-English speaking immigrant with no money and a broken computer. Now, I’m living a dream in a life I never thought I could have. I used to think that I wasn’t good enough. That I would never be smart enough to work at any big company. But the fact of the matter is that I am, and I did. I earned this. I am the first one in my family to graduate in the US I am the first one in my family to learn English I’m the first one in my family to land a job here And now, the first one to earn a promotion in Corporate America. As a 26-year-old Gen-Z, first-gen Latina, I take this as an opportunity to open doors for others - for those chasing dreams, breaking barriers, and rewriting their family story. I will continue to hold those doors open, so more of us can take our place at the table. My mom once said I was dreaming too big. I’m glad I dreamed big enough to earn a seat at Google. Let’s keep dreaming big and changing the narrative. #StephSynergy

After 13 years working in sports, I'm calling out the biggest myths about the industry. Here’s what REALLY happens when you work in sports... "All you do is watch sports all day" If only! 😅 Most game days, when I worked for the LA Clippers I was on the concourse or running around the venue, not anywhere near the game. And when I worked at the NBA, I'd be buried in spreadsheets, strategy decks, or back-to-back meetings. 99% of the time I’m just catching the highlights on my phone after work. "You get free tickets to everything" 🙂↕️🙂↔️ Nope. Tickets usually go to partners, sponsors, or high-value clients. Occasionally, I might snag some, but I’m not sitting courtside every night. In fact, they’re usually the nosebleeds but I’m never going to complain about that - a win is a win. I come from a low income background and never attended a pro sports event in my life until I worked in sports, so I never take the opportunities for granted. The ironic part though is when you DO get tickets, you're probably working the event anyway so still missing the action 💀. I typically gift them to family or friends when the rare opportunity arises. "You interact with athletes daily" Unless you're directly in player ops, media/athlete relations, or coaching staff... nope. 👎 For most of my jobs, I interacted with athletes for very short periods of time at events like NBA All-Star Weekend, athlete workshops or and 30-min. virtual meetings between their training sessions when I was at LinkedIn. Most of us are just grinding behind the scenes making the business run without ever interacting with athletes. "You MUST have an MBA or sports management degree" ❌ This is the biggest myth, hands down. I studied World Arts & Cultures + Film, Television & Digital Media at UCLA. Zero sports management classes. What truly matters is understanding the business, communicating your transferable skills, and networking with the right people. Some of the best sports execs I know have degrees in history, engineering, English, etc. After helping over 100 professionals break into sports through career coaching, I've seen people succeed from EVERY background imaginable so don't let these myths hold you back from pursuing your dream. 💫 If you work in the industry, what other sports industry myths would you add? If you don't, which one above surprised you most? Drop it below 👇 This is Day 4 of the #LinkedInSportsChallenge. If you're participating, drop the link to your Day 4 post below so others can find and engage with your post :) #LinkedInSports

What an unforgettable night at the 2025 Hispanic Star Gala — a celebration of purpose, pride, and power. ✨ Hosted by the We Are All Human Foundation, the evening brought together hundreds of Latino leaders, creators, and changemakers under one roof at the iconic Cipriani Wall Street. It wasn’t just a gala — it was a statement: the future is proudly Latino. From the inspiring words of Claudia Romo Edelman, who gave everyone a warm welcome. Leaders like Itzel López, board member of Latina Professionals® + Latino Economic Development Council, and Refugio A. Atilano captured it best: “The Hispanic Star Gala was about celebration, unity, and our community.” – Itzel López. “Being here and seeing so many Latino leaders together—it’s heartwarming. This is what community looks like when we stand tall and stand together.” – Refugio Atilano The Hispanic Star Gala proved once again that Latinos are a driving force in culture, creativity, and the economy. Here’s to every voice, every story, and every leader illuminating the path forward. #HispanicStar #WeAreAllHuman #ClaudiaRomoEdelman #LatinoLeaders #RepresentationMatters #Factivism #CommunityPower #Leadership #HispanicHeritage

Tonight, the George Eastman Museum honors Rita Moreno with the prestigious George Eastman Award for her distinguished contribution to the art of cinema. As she joins a remarkable list of film icons — from Audrey Hepburn to Martin Scorsese — her legacy continues to inspire new voices and leaders, including the powerful women in our Latina Professionals® community. We are excited to celebrate this very special evening. From her groundbreaking role as Anita in West Side Story to becoming one of the few artists to achieve the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony), Rita Moreno has paved the way for generations of Latinas in the arts. Very special evening tonight! More photos coming shortly and a recap of the gala soon. 📸 #RitaMoreno #LatinaProfessionals #WomenInLeadership #LatinaPower #EGOT #LatinaLeaders

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, and Latina Professionals® call to action, I am honored to share my story. I am a proud Mexican woman, born and raised in a border town, who became the first in her family to attend graduate school…and did it debt free. If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be “ You are stronger than you know. Your roots will carry you through every challenge. One day, your resilience will open doors not just for you, but for others who see themselves in your story.” Your background is not a barrier, it’s your strength. The values instilled in you by your culture: resilience, humility, and perseverance will become your superpowers in every room you enter. Let’s honor our journeys and uplift our communities.
