Congratulations to Loma Linda University Medical Center on achieving Magnet Re-Designation 🎉 Currently, less than 10% of hospitals world‑wide are Magnet Designated. During the COVID-19 pandemic, LLUMC made history as the first hospital 🥇 in the world to pioneer a virtual Magnet site visit. 🌟 While we couldn’t celebrate on stage then, four years later we’re proudly back in Atlanta with our amazing Magnet Champions and nurse leaders to celebrate!
120 years ago, #OnThisDay, Loma Linda Sanitarium accepted the first two patients. Within 2 months of operation, 25 patients were housed. Today, we have 1,046 beds, six hospitals, and serve over a million patients annually.
Our team is proudly wearing pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗 From medical and surgical oncology to the Women’s Imaging Center and cancer research, our teams stand together in support of those who have been touched by breast cancer.
