Cofounder, CEO of Marble | Headway cofounder

I’m thrilled to share that Marble Health has raised a $15.5M Series A led by Costanoa Ventures, with participation from Town Hall Ventures, Khosla Ventures, FJ Labs, Daybreak and Lorimer Ventures. Funding announcements rarely provide context behind the headline, so here’s a bit of the backstory: Growing up the son of a therapist and psychiatrist, I’ve long had a language around mental health. Early on, I was encouraged to explore therapy, which is one of the most important tools we have for building resilience and living fuller lives. Yet gaps in coverage, provider shortages, and misaligned incentives made access prohibitive, a realization that led me to start Headway, which today helps millions access affordable, high-quality care. Years later, I followed another curiosity and decided to enter the classroom, teaching middle school English at a low-income charter school in Brooklyn. I hoped to tap into the vibrancy of young people but what I observed was much darker: mental health conditions were ubiquitous, unchecked, and typically left at the door of a solo school counselor. Overwhelmed by these caseloads, counselors referred out to community mental health clinics, where kids would languish on monthslong waitlists. There was no follow-up. No continuity of care. No connective tissue between therapists, parents, counselors, teachers, and payers. Marble is building exactly that: the infrastructure layer for youth mental health. Recognizing that ‘care governance’ for youth is fundamentally multi-party, our platform is designed with care collaboration at the core. We are focused on driving real outcomes, leveraging AI to iterate on the construct of therapy, and continuing to scale our impact to serve families that are still waiting. If you’re interested in joining our mission, we're hiring across the board.

If you’re entrepreneurial, want to build something someday, or just like working with sharp people on meaningful problems, you should consider joining us at Marble Health. We’re tackling one of society’s most important challenges — youth mental health — and we’re hiring for two critical roles on our operations team, working closely with me and Qi Xu: 1️⃣ Business Operations — a Swiss Army knife role focused on Marble’s hardest, most impactful problems (great fit for mid-career operators) 2️⃣ Operations Associate / Senior Associate — 2-4 years’ experience, people-oriented, sharp, and driven If this sounds like you send me a note! Today marks eight months at Marble Health, and I’m still in awe of the scale and urgency of the youth mental health crisis we’re tackling. The stats are staggering: - 1 in 10 teens attempted suicide last year - Rates of depression and anxiety among youth are the highest ever recorded - Only a fraction of kids who need care get it, blocked by long waitlists and providers who don’t take their insurance The research is clear: adverse childhood experiences don’t just stay in childhood. They also ripple into adulthood, driving worse outcomes in mental health, physical health, and education. Solving youth mental health is therefore one of the most powerful levers we have for building a happier, healthier society. As kids, we dream about changing the world - I joined Marble to come back to those roots and work on something that truly contributes to the kind of society we want to see (and not just shareholder returns!) Since then, I’ve had the chance to: - Work with an incredible team on gnarly problems (shoutout Qi Xu, William Bertrand, Marco Cabrera and the Bread Pod!) - Lead vendor negotiations - Build new processes and product for the first time - Manage a half-dozen contractors It’s been the most dynamic, challenging, and growth-filled role I’ve ever had. We’re scaling fast - so fast that we literally can’t build product quickly enough to meet demand - and we’re looking for more people to join us! Why you should join Marble: - You want to do work that matters - You’re excited by hard problems with high impact - You want to join a startup in execution mode, not “does anyone care?” mode - You don’t mind eating glass day in and day out because you care about the mission - You want to work with sharp, kind teammates You may not be a fit if: - You need lots of structure or close management - You’re not excited by impact and prefer a traditional 9-5 - Shipping fast scares you We’re hiring across BizOps and Engineering - come build with us: marblehealth.com/careers

Last Thursday was the first day of school here in NYC!!! I haven't been this excited about back-to-school since............ Maybe forever??? For the first time, this big day means so much to me and everyone here at Marble Health. For some, back-to-school will be exciting - a chance to make new friends, learn new things, and grow a little more day by day. However, for many, this will also be a moment where the everyday stress and confusion of growing up will be more heightened than ever. I think back on how much more difficult it can be to be a kid or teenager than people give it credit for. Growing up isn't easy! I love working somewhere that contributes to building a new outlet for kids that makes having someone to talk to simple, fast, and affordable. We're hiring across several roles here at Marble - including Growth, Eng., Product, and more. Give us a shout at growth@marblehealth.com if you'd like to learn more about what it takes to be a part of this journey :)

    Software Engineer @ Marble | Dartmouth ’21

I’m not usually one for public celebrations but this one was worth sharing with you all. This week marks the start of my fourth month at Marble Health! We’re a small but fast-growing startup on a mission to solve the teen mental health epidemic. We work with school counselors to connect kids in need of help with therapists ready to take on more clients. And, best of all, the only ones paying are insurance companies. This means no waitlists, low costs, and increased access. On a more personal note, it’s been a period of intense and incredibly rewarding growth. The technical problems are fun and challenging, the work is diverse but focused, and the impact is dauntingly large. But the best part is the people: smart, kind, and relentlessly dedicated; just incredible talent density. And we’re hiring! So, if you’d like to join the Marblellion, just drop a line. I’d love to talk your ear off and introduce you to the team!

    Founding Engineer @ Marble Health

Back in December, I joined Marble Health as a founding engineer – and it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career so far. As engineers, we spend a lot of time thinking about scalability, clean architecture, and how to make systems run smoothly. But here at Marble, every line of code connects back to something bigger: making mental health care more accessible for kids and teens who might otherwise go without it. In the last few months, I’ve worked on everything from building tools for school counselors to creating our first patient portal for families. The most exciting part? Knowing that what I build today could mean a student gets connected to a therapist tomorrow. That’s impact you can feel. We’re growing quickly and looking for more engineers, PMs, and product-minded folks who want to use their skills to make a real difference. If that sounds like you, check out our open roles: https://lnkd.in/ennuy58a

To my Product & Engineering folks out there...what are the coolest outcomes of the things that you build? I've seen so many of you build incredible things, and I'll be the first to admit, I know very little about exactly how you do it. Once you've shipped it, I get to see customers do really cool things, like build, save time, drive their missions forward. But I have a challenge for you...when's the last time you built something that changed someone's life on a personal or emotional level? Here at Marble, we have the unique privilege of building a product that directly results in offering essential Mental Healthcare to kids & teens who need it. That's some serious impact. Ever wondered what it would feel like to build something like this? We're hiring across our Product Org. for PMs, Engineers, and more - check out our open roles here: https://lnkd.in/ennuy58a

🎒 Back-to-school season means connecting with families at P.S. 116 Mary Lindley Murray today! At Marble Health, we partner with schools to provide virtual mental health support, and there's nothing quite like seeing families who traditionally wouldn't have access to care (families on Medicaid, Spanish-speaking families) light up when we say we can serve them. This is why I love what I do – the impact is real, immediate, and meaningful. If you want to join a team that's passionate about transforming mental health care, please reach out. We're growing and looking for amazing people across multiple roles. Check them out here: https://lnkd.in/eE2eEbfv

2 months into my time at Marble Health and I've never been more fulfilled in my professional work before. Hands Down. And I'm hiring. 🫳 🎤 Before June of this year, I didn't usually want to talk to you about what I did for a living. I've been extremely privileged and fortunate to work for incredible companies who have made incredible products. I have so much respect for these places and feel so lucky to have been a part of their journeys. However, I've never felt this level of overlap between my personal passions and my work before. The true privilege of working for a place that's making an impact in access to Mental Healthcare has had profound effect on me and I think it will on you too. ❤️ I'm currently hiring a Care Operations Associate to help with one of the most pivotal points in our process - assisting Parents & Guardians in getting their kids set up with care. If you're someone who has a passion for what we're doing here at Marble, a drive to speak with people at a pivotal point in our process, and a strategic mind that can learn from this experience, then give me a shout: growth@marblehealth.com
