Special Olympics Florida, in collaboration with the Miami Marlins Foundation and ABA Centers of Florida, hosted an action-packed softball skills assessment yesterday at loanDepot park, welcoming 250 athletes from across Miami-Dade County. Athletes of all ages and abilities, from 8 to 84 years old, showcased their talents in base running, fielding, throwing, and hitting, under the guidance of Special Olympics staff, volunteers, and former Marlins first baseman and current broadcaster Gaby Sanchez. Our amazing event staff at loanDepot park works tirelessly all year to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating them with an end-of-season staff party!
