The 2025 GSMC Annual Conference kicked off on October 1 at Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, GA! Molina Healthcare of Nebraska recently partnered with People’s City Mission to host a special birthday celebration for children staying at the shelter. Kids enjoyed a bounce house, snow cones, cupcakes, Halloween shirt-making and left with birthday goodie bags. Molina Healthcare of Iowa, in collaboration with MolinaCares, donated $25,000 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness Iowa (NAMI Iowa) in support of its Ending the Silence (ETS) program, an effort to educate students and adults on how to identify when an individual may benefit from mental health services. For the last three years, Molina and MolinaCares have funded ETS presentations and training for its presenters, bringing the total commitment to $75,000. Molina Healthcare of Florida announced a $16,000 donation to the Family Tree of Life Center, a nonprofit providing a foundation to parents on their birthing journey. The organization helps pregnant people through miscarriage and loss support, classes for fathers, counseling, and mentorship. Molina’s funding will support the center’s programs and help purchase essential items such as diapers, formula, prenatal vitamins and car seats. Ovarian cancer occurs when the cells in the ovaries – female reproductive organs that produce eggs and certain hormones – grow and multiply abnormally. Roughly 1 in 70 women will be diagnosed with this type of cancer in their lifetime. Symptoms may be subtle or easily mistaken for other common health issues.
