  • Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Every life is precious, and today we pause to remember those we’ve lost, support those who are struggling, and reaffirm our commitment to breaking the stigma around mental health. The theme this year is about creating hope through action — reminding us that even the smallest gesture of care can make a difference. Whether it’s reaching out to a friend, checking in with a colleague, or seeking help for yourself, your actions can save a life. 💡 If you or someone you know is struggling, please call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Big milestone for a major EHR transformation, and we could not be prouder of the Monterey team that helped make it happen. For the past two years, our procurement professionals have supported this initiative for a Department of Health and Human Services, managing complex contracts, coordinating across legal and IT, and ensuring the infrastructure was in place for a smooth go-live. On August 1, the system launched successfully. The feedback so far has been incredible. As one agency leader said, “One of the best implementations we’ve seen.” This new system will support state hospitals, providers, and patients with better access to critical health data, and improve the day-to-day experience for those working on the front lines of care. To our Monterey team, Daryl Brooks, MBA, PMP, CPCM Francisco Diaz Michael Brown Jace Bounds, NIGP-CPP thank you for your commitment, collaboration, and follow-through. It matters. Monterey, Inc. supports government agencies through procurement surge capacity and expertise—available through contracts like NASPO ValuePoint Procurement and Acquisition Support Services (PASS) for streamlined access to experienced acquisition professionals. #DHHS #HealthIT #EHR #ProcurementSupport #PublicSector #MontereyInc #NASPOValuePoint

#MissionMonday: The best consulting isn't just about finding problems; it's about building confidence. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with an office that was new to the complexities of the grant award process. During my review, I identified several discrepancies that could have led to serious audit findings down the road. Instead of just handing them a list of corrections, we held multiple educational sessions. My goal was to be a guide, not a gatekeeper. We walked them through everything, from the nuances of the funding issues to implementing a required form they weren't aware even existed. Empowering our partners with the knowledge they need to succeed long-term is the core of what we do. The result? They are now on track to award their grants on time with 100% funding—and without the lingering risk of future compliance issues. They didn't just get a review; they got a roadmap for future success. If you believe in building capability, not just dependency, I'd love to connect. #GovCon #GrantManagement #Compliance #Consulting #Empowerment #PublicSector #HumanHealthServices #HealthServices #Teamwork
