🚨 September's CPI Report shows slightly cooler Inflation 🚨 The delayed report on September #CPI was released today and showed #inflation, both Headline and Core, came in below estimates. The report all but guarantees the #Fed will cut #rates again next week, and markets are reacting accordindly: #Equity Markets are rallying 💹 U.S. Treasury #yields are falling 📉 Key Takeaways: ☑️ September CPI came in slightly lower than expected with Core CPI rising 0.2% to 3.0% annually and headline inflation rose by 0.3% to 3.0% annually, both increases are 0.1% lower than expected. ☑️ Equity markets are rallying, led by growth stocks. Treasury bond yields are slightly lower across most of the yield curve. ☑️ Futures markets now project a 99% likelihood the Fed will cut rates at their meeting next week, and a 99% likelihood of another 0.25% cut in December. The Morningstar Global Wide Moat VC 7 Index was recognised as the ‘Best Proprietary Index’ at the #SRPAmericas2025 Awards in Scottsdale, Arizona on 16 September. The index was packaged within a model concept alongside other exposures like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, which have been favoured strategies, especially in the annuity space, according to Neil McAllister, head of derivatives products Americas, Morningstar Indexes. “With international markets outperforming the US in 2025, the launch of a global index was particularly relevant,” McAllister said. Dan Lefkovitz, investment strategist at Morningstar Indexes added: “For many years now, US equities, especially technology stocks, have dominated returns.
