The Nebraska Infrastructure Hub is making our state more competitive for federal transportation funds. In its first year, the IHub supported 60 local agencies in 50 counties. One of the funding opportunities available is through bridge bundling, which allows agencies to consolidate their grant application and split awarded funds. Watch to learn how the IHub is helping Saline County pursue this funding.

Today, community and state leaders gathered in Columbus to celebrate a project decades in the making - the East 29th Avenue Viaduct. The goal of the viaduct is to improve safety and traffic flow in a busy manufacturing area. Thank you to all in Platte County, and everyone who worked on this important project. A special thanks to Valmont Industries and the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce for helping host such a great event. In 2024, 252 lives were lost on Nebraska roads. That’s an 11% jump from 2023, the biggest increase in nearly two decades. Speeding and distracted driving were major causes. By putting down the phone and reducing speeds, we can save lives. See the full map: https://lnkd.in/g3z6h8_k
