Thank you, Blake Underhill for sharing your expertise with our NFTE learners! Watch Blake share his expertise in the recording of the session: https://lnkd.in/gn7MqSYN
Big thanks to Blake Underhill, NFTE volunteer and entrepreneur, for kicking off our first WSI Innovation Lab, powered by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE)! 💡 👏 Blake shared how curiosity, optimism, and resilience shape the path of every innovator. From launching his first landscaping business in high school to building multiple companies today, he showed students that great ideas often start small, with a simple question and the courage to act on it. 💬 “You’ll hear a lot of no’s,” Blake said. “But no just means it doesn’t work for that person at that time. There are eight billion people in the world—keep asking.” Blake reminds all of us to stay curious, embrace risk, and don’t let a single “no” stop your momentum. Each question, failure, and new attempt is part of the process that leads to breakthrough solutions. 🎥 Missed the session? The 14th Annual NFTE Golf Classic, hosted by the Private Equity Association of Los Angeles (PEALA) at Angeles National Golf Club, brought together 130 golfers and 27 sponsors—all in support of NFTE Los Angeles programs. Together, we raised nearly $160,000 to help young people in under-resourced communities build their entrepreneurial mindset and skills! A huge thank-you to our national sponsor, EY, and our Birdie Sponsors, O'Melveny and Clearlake Capital Group, for making this event possible. And congratulations to Team O'Melveny, this year’s tournament champions! We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for a fantastic day of golf, community, and impact.
