Huge congratulations to one of our Alliance Founders, RBC, on the launch of RBC Regenerate! Introduced alongside Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew, and fellow CANZA Partner Nature United, and friends from Collective Impact, RBC Generate launched with a $5-million, five-year investment in Prairie agriculture. The program will expand nationally through partnerships with CANZA and other partners, helping Canadian farmers thrive while advancing sustainable practices for years to come. This announcement capped off a very generative (pun intended!) SF4C Hackathon, where bright young minds tackled some of agriculture’s toughest challenges with expert support from TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods, McCain Foods, PepsiCo, and Nature United. Hosted by another CANZA partner, the Arrell Food Institute at the University of Guelph, the day was full of energy and inspiration. I’m excited to keep our collaboration train rolling together across the Canadian Alliance for Net Zero Agri-Food (CANZA) in ways that reduce burden, decrease risk, and accelerate support for regenerative and climate-smart agriculture in Canada. 🔗 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eDvV8Ewh John Stackhouse Lisa Ashton Evan Fraser Hadley Archer Collective Impact

I’m excited to share that CANZA is launching the “Million Acre Challenge”—a bold new initiative to scale regenerative farming across Canada. 🌱 This is a big step toward scaling action that supports the great work farmers are doing with resilient, climate-smart farming in Canada. 🇨🇦 This program offers cost-sharing incentives, risk support, and a data-driven outcomes marketplace to help farmers adopt regenerative practices that improve soil health, reduce emissions, and build financial resilience, all while further shaping the incentives and tools needed to scale. This is about co-designing the future of farming with farmers, industry, and finance partners, together turning ambition into real-world change. 👉 Read more about the launch here: https://lnkd.in/gYJTCDkJ #RegenerativeAgriculture #ClimateSmartFarming #NetZeroAg #CANZA #Collaboration #InnovationInAg

Introducing the Million Acre Challenge Today at the GLOBE Food Leadership Summit, Canadian Alliance for Net Zero Agri-Food (CANZA) is announcing its new initiative to scale regenerative farming across Canada, starting with 365,000 acres over the next 5 years. The Million Acre Challenge will work with farmers to accelerate economically viable and environmentally sustainable practices that strengthen a thriving, resilient Canadian agricultural sector and food system. With farmers at the centre, and support from across the value chain, including industry, government, researchers, and corporate partners, the Challenge shows what’s possible when we come together to take on agriculture’s toughest challenges. Each year, we’ll bring more farmers into the program and support those already involved to expand these practices across even more acres.
