  • New York SCORES is proud to announce that the New Balance Foundation has invested $300,000 in The SCORES Network to expand our award-winning after-school soccer, poetry, and service-learning programs across our city ahead of the #2026FIFAWorldCup. ⚽ 🌎💙 This investment — which brings NBF's total investment in SCORES affiliates to $1,475,000 — will strengthen our capacity to serve our Poet-Athletes across NYC. We love how energized our Poet-Athletes have been while wearing their New Balance kit this Fall season, and we're grateful to have New Balance as our exclusive apparel sponsor! Thank you to the New Balance Foundation for believing in our Poet-Athletes and the power of soccer and poetry to transform lives. Hi, we're the The SCORES Network! 👋 We're a movement that's been empowering young people across North America for 30 years. From our foundations in 1994 at a single D.C. school to now serving thousands of Poet-Athletes in 13 cities, we've stayed true to our mission: combining soccer, poetry, and service-learning to empower youth to lead healthy lives, engage deeply in school, and develop the confidence to make a difference in their communities. Swipe to see what makes our movement special! ✨

  • One year to the FIFA World Cup! We celebrated in midtown with PS 241 STEM Institute of Manhattan and FOX Sports where our Poet-Athletes gave US soccer legend Carli Loyd her flowers for that amazing TST win in North Carolina. What a morning! Thank you also for the ice cream Alexi Lalas!

  • We brought Inspired Art back to New York and Harlem as our way of rounding out National Poetry Month. Thank you to the artists, poets, musicians and guests who helped make it an incredible evening! Special word of gratitude to Ruairi Curtin and the Alan Spanier Foundation who were our guests and helped us announce their gift of $500,000 to help us finally expand our programming to Queens. Just in time for next year’s 25th Anniversary and the 2026 World Cup!
