Pia von Barby, PLA is a Senior Landscape Architect at OLIN leading initiatives in OLIN’s research and development group, OLIN Labs, where she applies a passion for inquiry, environmental ethics, and project-based challenges to inform collaborative development of tools and materials for innovative landscape architecture design and construction solutions. Her session ~From Lab to Landscape~ is on Friday at 8:30am: A06. Trevor Lee is a Partner at OLIN, bringing his indefatigable creative spirit to spark innovative responses to each landscape he considers. His design process incorporates energetic team collaborations, inquisitive model-making, and iterative layering of program, connections, and meaning to develop environmentally-grounded and culturally-responsive places for people to thrive. ~Landscape Architects in the Expanded Field: Lessons from Working with Infrastructure~ will reveal some of the insights behind his work, on Friday at 10:15am: B09. Richard Roark, ASLA, BD+C is OLIN’s Chief Purpose Officer, and as a Partner since 2012, he challenges and inspires through his practice, bringing social and environmental justice solutions to the public realm. Richard draws on data, a deep wellspring of curiosity, multivarious personal interests, and extensive experience in project design and authentic public engagement to inform his work, writing, and thinking. ~Where Do You Draw the Line?~ will be explored on Sunday at 3:45PM: C11. Richard will be inducted as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects later that evening.

OLIN Associate Jamee Kominsky will be presenting on 10/23/25 at the Accessibility & Preservation Symposium at Carpenters' Hall Master Builders' Dialogues 2025, "Toward a More Perfect Union". She’ll speak during the Design & Construction session, highlighting two of our projects in Denver: the Gang of 19 Tribute Commons, honoring the 1978 disability rights protest that helped lead to the ADA, and Denver Civic Center Park, a National Historic Landmark undergoing revitalization to balance accessibility, preservation, and contemporary use. OLIN CPO Richard Roark was interviewed by the Chattanooga Design Studio yesterday preceding his participation in their CIVIQ symposium TONIGHT 10/1, 5:30-7pm. The event is a keynote to Thrive Regional Partnership's annual Tri-State Summit Conference. Come for the lecture and lively Q&A with other civic-minded attendees!

OLIN joins the Cultural Landscape Foundation and the landscape architecture community in mourning the tragic loss of Kongjian Yu. His work has meant so much, and his legacy is strong!
