🎤 “Recording funeral services breaches copyright.” Not something you expect to hear from a funeral streaming company - but it’s a conversation that had to happen. This is the message we've brought to NFDA in North America, and it's sparking some real conversations. Here’s Justin Whatley talking to Ryan Thogmartin at our booth about a problem no one wants to admit, in North America, 👉 Your webcasting license does not cover the recording. 👉 Music in that video? That is potential fines waiting to happen.. OneRoom now solves it. Music is muted in the recording. Guests can see the music playlist with links to listen. All legal risk is removed. It's a conversation worth having, get in touch, we'd be happy to talk through solutions with you anytime.

Big thanks to the Heritage Family for the chance to join your first Leadership Summit. A powerful reminder of what strong leadership and smart innovation can achieve!
What an incredible few days of learning, collaboration, and inspiration at our first Annual Heritage Leadership Summit! Our teams from across the country came together to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and explore new ways to better serve our client families. The energy, insight, and fellowship throughout the event truly reflected the heart of our mission and the dedication of our people. A huge thank-you goes out to our generous sponsors — Doric Products, Inc., OneRoom, Stream Companies, Express Funeral Funding, Elevia, Dedicated IT, Starmark, Life Celebration, Inc., and Matthews International — for their informative presentations and continued support. We’d also like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Sara Murphy, PhD, CT for her powerful and thought-provoking keynote session this morning. This year’s summit set the stage for continued growth and excellence across the Heritage Family. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together — and we’re even more excited about what’s ahead as we work to serve families with compassion, innovation, and care.

We’ve made things even easier for Tukios users. Our new integration means you can now create a OneRoom streaming event right from within Tukios. Tick a box... and that’s it! Details flow through automatically. No jumping between platforms. No double entry. No hassle. Big thanks to Tukios for helping make this happen. Introducing ai Autofill. A new feature that means funeral directors don’t have to manually enter details anymore when booking a stream. Start typing a name, and if there’s an online obituary, the form fills itself – photo, dates, obituary link, even Tribute Buttons if the site has them. It’s quick. It’s accurate. And it’s already rolling out to our customers with compatible websites.

Funeral services are powerful. With streaming, you reach 50% more people - in addition to those who attend in person. That’s more families seeing how you care. More people experiencing how healing a funeral can be. And more future families thinking of you when the time comes. Joshua Tobias from The Ira Kaufman Chapel summed it up well with his words below. Streaming isn’t replacing in-person attendance. It’s adding to it, and bringing more families into the experience.
