  • The #agenticAI landscape is exploding. Every new framework, demo, and announcement promises to let your AI assistant book flights, query databases, and manage calendars. This rapid advancement of capabilities is thrilling for users, but for the #architects and #engineers building these systems, it poses a fundamental question: When should a new capability be a simple, predictable tool (exposed via Model Context Protocol, MCP) and when should it be a sophisticated, collaborative agent (exposed via Agent2Agent Protocol, A2A)? I’ve completed reading 𝗡𝗲𝗼𝟰𝗷: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲, an excellent book that takes you on a practical and insightful journey into mastering Neo4j and graph data science. It progresses from early experimentation to production deployment, emphasizing performance tuning, scalability, and resilience. The ElectricHarmony case study vividly demonstrates real-world scenarios, making clustering, backups, and observability concepts easy to grasp. The later chapters stand out for connecting 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗚𝗗𝗦) with 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗜 (𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗔𝗜), showing how Neo4j empowers advanced analytics and intelligent reasoning. By integrating 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗥𝗔𝗚 and knowledge graphs, the book reveals how connected data enhances personalization, context, and decision-making in AI systems. The book also includes a GitHub repository to practice the examples hands-on — an excellent resource for reinforcing concepts through real-world exercises. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿: Perfect for data engineers, solution architects, AI practitioners, and developers who want to build intelligent, scalable applications that combine graph databases with generative AI. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲: Thank you to the authors Luanne Misquitta and Christophe Willemsen, the forward by Michael Hunger, and the publisher O'Reilly for delivering such a well-structured and inspiring resource for anyone exploring the power of graphs and AI. #GraphDataScience #Neo4j #GenerativeAI

Live from Ultralytics YOLO Vision 2025, what a pleasure it was speaking with Merve Noyan from the beloved Hugging Face about this hot topic: vision language models and multimodality! Merve is a Machine Learning Engineer working at the forefront of vision language models, as well as being a co-author on the O'Reilly book Vision Language Models. She’s truly brilliant. Here are a few highlights from our conversation 👇, but you’ll want to catch the full interview to hear all of Merve’s insights firsthand. ⭐ VISION-LANGUAGE MODELS (VLMs) ARE EXPANDING FAST In just a year, we’ve gone from image-text models to systems that can reason over far more complex tasks. It’s clear what’s coming next - models that can seamlessly understand and generate across multiple modalities (image, audio, and text). ⭐ OPEN SOURCE IS ACCELERATING THE FIELD Hugging Face’s commitment to open collaboration mirrors Ultralytics’ open innovation with the YOLO ecosystem. When tools like Transformers and YOLO are freely accessible and community-driven, progress moves along faster. ⭐ COMMUNITY CREATES A BRIDGE At events like YOLO Vision powered by Ultralytics, developers and researchers come together, and that’s where we see magic happening. Open-source meetups can turn into product breakthroughs, like Ultralytics YOLO models finetuned on Hugging Face or edge AI tools built collaboratively in real time. ⭐ THE FUTURE IS MULTIMODAL Merve predicts that within the next year, we’ll see a major leap toward models capable of integrating and reasoning across images, text, audio and maybe even interactive environments - taking us closer to truly general AI systems. Huge thank you to Merge for joining me and sharing her takes on a fascinating subfield of AI. You can check out her talk from YOLO Vision 2025 “Seeing and Saying: VLMs with Hugging Face” here: https://lnkd.in/eZw-yKZG (starting at 5:02:00), and her O’Reilly book ‘Vision Language Models’ to dive deeper. Stay tuned, more behind-the-scenes from YOLO Vision 2025 coming soon! #YV25 #computervision #artificialintelligence #visionAI #multimodality #VLMs

  • "While chatbots are great for answering questions and generating outputs, AI agents are designed to take action. They are proactive, goal-oriented, and can handle complex, multi-step tasks. If we’re often encouraged to think of chatbots as bright but overconfident interns, we can think of AI agents like competent direct reports you can hand an entire project to."
