What a great week at Electricity Transformation Canada 2025! We were proud to sponsor this important event and to take part in the conversations shaping Canada’s energy future. A highlight for us was having William Shemie join the panel on “Deployment of Renewable Energy in Canada: Opportunities and Logistics.” The discussion explored the opportunities renewable energy and storage bring to decarbonization, as well as the regulatory and logistical challenges that come with deploying these projects nationwide. Tomorrow, Pattern's AVP and Assistant General Counsel, Sarah Ridel, will be speaking at the University of Utah's Utah Energy Week. She will join the panel, Electric Transmission Resilience and Expansion, which will explore what it will take to meet rising energy demand. Topics will include evolving electric markets to optimize system use, streamlining permitting processes, and advancing efforts to strengthen grid safety, reliability, and resilience.

We are excited to welcome Brandon Denne to Pattern’s EPC Leadership Team as Vice President, Construction! Brandon brings over two decades of experience in energy infrastructure, with deep expertise in solar, wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). He joins us from Ørsted, where he spent nearly a decade leading construction, preconstruction, and procurement for their renewable projects. Before that, Brandon spent 15 years with Blattner, a trusted Pattern partner and respected EPC contractor. He will play a key role in enhancing our capabilities and scaling our skills to meet our growing pipeline demands. Please join us in welcoming Brandon to Pattern!
