On 9/15, the Molalla community gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of its new Molalla River Middle School (MRMS)! Led by Superintendent Tony Mann and Principal Randy Dalton, the ceremony brought staff and students together with School Board officials, the PAC and volunteers who worked tirelessly to pass the May 2024 bond, the Bond Oversight Committee, and project partners Opsis Architecture and Otak CPM. Thanks to everyone who attended. This milestone marks the start of a long-awaited and much-needed replacement for the 70-year-old middle school, ensuring a modern learning environment to serve future generations. Pence is honored to be the district’s partner on this important project, which will open its doors in fall 2027.   Congratulations to the Molalla River School District! Thanks to the Molalla River Middle School community members who stopped by our booth in the library at Back-to-School night this week! Our team and partners at Opsis Architecture enjoyed sharing the renderings, floor plans and virtual flythrough video of the new school. We had fun talking with families and parents, especially those of incoming 6th graders who will enter 8th grade when the future campus is complete. They will be among the first students to attend middle school in the modern facility once it’s finished. There were also lots of younger children in attendance who will be part of this inaugural group as 6th or 7th graders. It was heartwarming to see everyone as excited as we are for this much-needed school project that will provide exceptional future opportunities for Molalla students! Shoutout to Daniel Ramos, Assistant Superintendent, and the team that stepped up in a major way when one of our health care clients reached out for help with an unforeseen issue at a busy facility! The situation required immediate attention over the weekend and, without hesitation, Ramos rounded up a crew of dedicated employees who sacrificed their time and showed up to tackle the challenge. A big thanks also goes out to Brandon Martinez, Josh Aguilar, Sabas Gonzalez, Trent Anderson, Will Lang and Wyatt Kesler for the exceptional effort giving of yourselves to fulfill our purpose. On a fast-track timeline, they collaborated and coordinated with multiple partners to complete the task and meet the Monday morning deadline.
