With thousands of local and state elections happening across the U.S. this November, The Center for American Women and Politics' analysis of campaign contributions offers helpful insights into the ways that donations show up differently for men and women. One key takeaway? Women candidates rely on small-dollar donations—defined as $200 or less—much more than men do. Young people and their families should have a say in creating the mental health solutions they want and need. BHT Impact is making sure they do. Congratulations to Solome Tibebu and Anjlee Joshi on the launch of this important new platform! Founder of Behavioral Health Tech community & conference; Nov 11-13, 2025, in San Diego, CA - Save the date! BIG NEWS! After several years in the making, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of BHT Impact, a new national platform designed to accelerate youth behavioral health innovation and empower young people and families to become the designers, builders, and future leaders of the systems that shape their lives. Launching BHT Impact alongside Anjlee Joshi has been a true honor, and I’m looking forward to accelerating the work of amazing youth mental health innovators and leaders in our community. This November 11-13 in San Diego, CA, we’ll be debuting our first in-person programming at #BHT2025, in partnership with Behavioral Health Tech, youth, philanthropic funders, non-profit leaders and youth-serving organizations. Learn more here and get involved: https://lnkd.in/gNYm8uCg With huge gratitude to our two partners who helped bring this vision to life: BHT Impact is a fiscally sponsored project of Moore Impact, a 501(c)(3) public charity, and is funded by Pivotal, a group of organizations founded by Melinda French Gates.

A bright spot we’re celebrating today: Little Otter and Hazel Health are joining forces to make mental health care more accessible for millions of children and families across the country. We couldn’t be prouder to support their efforts! Huge News for Mental Health! I'm thrilled to share that Little Otter has merged with Hazel Health to break down existing silos, delivering scale and innovation across school and family mental health. By bringing together Hazel Health's school-centered care and Little Otter’s deep family-based mental health expertise we can reach more families, create greater impact, and deliver care more efficiently. This step deepens our shared mission to care for children and families across every environment and strengthens our shared commitment to making quality mental health support accessible nationwide. I will be stepping into the role of President of Care Delivery and Innovation at Hazel Health, overseeing both Hazel Health and Little Otter's provider groups. I've shared more about this next step in our journey here: https://lnkd.in/g8TKv_qh I also want to say thank you to our Hazel Health colleagues who are welcoming us with open arms. Andrew Post has shared more about what this means for Hazel on their blog. https://lnkd.in/gUsmSq6A I couldn’t be more proud of what we have built to date and where we are going next!

Young people tell us time and again: Third spaces matter. Having a place outside of home and school where they feel safe, accepted, and free from judgment can make a powerful difference in their mental health. In honor of #WorldMentalHealthDay, we talked with a group of young people about one of their beloved safe spaces—Lambert House LGBTQ+ Youth Community Center—and the life-changing community they’ve found there. We’re proud to support Lambert House alongside our partner Born This Way Foundation, which works to empower and inspire young people to build a kinder, braver world that supports their mental health. We asked president and co-founder of Born This Way Foundation, Cynthia Bissett Germanotta to share why she founded the organization with her daughter Lady Gaga and why she is so passionate about mental health advocacy, and we loved what she had to say. You can watch both videos in our latest newsletter ⬇️

Only 7.2 percent of people serving in Congress right now are moms with children under the age of 18, which means we’re missing out on the unique perspectives they have on everything from paid leave and child care to education and the economy. Luckily, Vote Mama Foundation has a plan to change that. Their annual Politics of Parenthood report offers concrete recommendations for making sure more parents, especially moms, can serve in office. A few that we’re especially excited about? Allowing members to vote virtually or by proxy and normalizing the use of campaign funds for child care. An exciting new era for Young Futures Org—one we are so proud to be a part of. As Young Futures' CEO Katya Hancock notes about their new YF500 fund: "The plan is simple: invest in the people and places teens already trust, link them together, and give them the tools to move faster and learn together. That is infrastructure, and it's how we will drive youth wellbeing across the country." 🎉 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gzKJMZ87
