I’m proud to be at the helm of TeamCalifornia - a private, non-profit membership-based corporation that represents every city, county and EDC across the state to market their communities. Let me help you connect!

TeamCalifornia Shines at SEMICON West 2025 TeamCalifornia recently made a strong showing at SEMICON West in Phoenix, bringing together leaders from across the semiconductor industry to highlight California’s innovation and talent. We didn’t just stop at booth exhibiting, our outdoor Iron Cactus Golf Activation and evening reception was a major hit - drawing steady traffic, sparking great conversations, and giving our members powerful visibility in one of the show’s busiest areas. All in all, we hosted a large group of exhibitors, partners, and top industry decision-makers. It was a high-energy week that proved once again: California is where technology, talent, and opportunity come together. TeamCalifornia Members Statewide – Stronger Together. • Placer County Water Agency recently shared how regional collaboration is helping advance sustainability, water efficiency, and community education. This week, UC Cooperative Extension leadership met with partners including the UC Master Gardeners, PCWA, South Placer Fire District, Placer County Office of Emergency Services, Placer Resource Conservation District, 4-H Program, and the Town of Loomis at the Loomis Library Demonstration Garden to tour the site and explore future opportunities. Converted from 11,000 square feet of nonfunctional turf, the garden has already achieved a 24% reduction in water use in its first year—serving as a living classroom for residents and a statewide model for sustainable landscaping. From reducing water use to strengthening fire resilience, the garden shows how local partnerships can transform public spaces into thriving, water-wise examples of what’s possible across our communities. As UCCE’s Associate Vice President Brent Hales shared, “Placer County has the secret sauce—it’s the people, the trust, and the willingness to invest in partnerships without expecting a defined ROI from day one.” 👏 Thank you to Placer County Water Agency for highlighting this collaboration and to all our partners for helping make Placer County a leader in water conservation and community resilience.

  • Last year, our Older Adult Advisory Commission collected more than 750 new stuffed animals for first responders. Local first responders distribute these stuffed animals to individuals they encounter during traumatic situations, to provide a sense of security and calm. This year, the OAAC is hoping to collect even more! You can drop off donations between Nov. 1-30 at locations throughout the county: https://lnkd.in/g49jtxvA
