Are you aware of the role Quantum Science plays in all of our lives? Did you know that 2025 was designated by the U.N. as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ)? We sure didn’t before designing the website that has become the face of this centennial celebration. We were pleased to partner with American Physical Society to create a site to house #IYQ2025 background and worldwide events designed to recognize 100 years of quantum mechanics. Events are taking place weekly through the end of the year. Incredible momentum from the Africa Quantum Consortium! #IYQ2025 #QuantumAfrica
🚨 Africa’s Quantum Era Isn’t Coming. It’s Here. 🚨 February 2026 — Department of Physics, KNUST 🇬🇭 gathers the world to push the limits of quantum computing and simulation. But this isn’t a debut. It’s a continuation. While others announce plans, Africa is operationalizing vision. Talent pipelines are forming. Institutions are aligning. The map is moving. The Africa Quantum Consortium (AQC) isn’t amplifying the noise; we’re shaping the signal - connecting research, policy, and capital into one continental engine. By 2026, the conversation won’t be if Africa can lead in quantum. It’ll be how far ahead we already are.
