A Quantum Day organised by NCSR "DEMOKRITOS", the University of Patras and the University of West Attica and included in the global UNESCO events for the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, where our CEO Olga Alexopoulou presented quantum pigments. Until now we have had major categories such as oil paints and acrylics, now the new category is using quantum confinement to shine brighter and shape the future of art and design.  #QuantumTechnology #QuantumPigments

The narrative on quantum in Africa is changing and we have the proof. We are proud to announce that a groundbreaking paper, "Quantum Information Science and Technology: A Pathway to Sustainable Progress for Zimbabwe," authored by leaders within our AQC network, has been accepted for publication and was successfully presented at the national forum hosted by Postal & Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ), #Zimbabwe's top ICT regulator at Great Zimbabwe University. This isn't just an academic achievement; it's a strategic victory that has fundamentally shifted the national conversation. The presentation shattered outdated narratives and established three undeniable truths: ➡️ Quantum is not a future concept for Zimbabwe; it is a present-day reality. The ecosystem is active, growing, and delivering tangible work. ➡️ Africa is not just participating; it is leading. This paper proves that our talent is at the forefront, architecting sovereign roadmaps for national development. ➡️ The AQC model works. By empowering local leaders, we can drive high-impact, country-specific initiatives that have continental significance. This landmark work was driven by a formidable team: Lorraine Tsitsi Majiri, Rebecca Chimheno Lukanga, Edmore Chingwe, and Farai Mazhandu. Their efforts showcase the depth of expertise within our network. We want to specifically spotlight the exceptional leadership of Lorraine Tsitsi Majiri, our AQC National Coordinator for Zimbabwe. A true "can-do" leader who has represented Africa on global stages, Lorraine is the driving force behind our engagement on the ground. This success is a direct result of her strategic vision and relentless execution. This is AQC’s strategy in action: Empowering national leaders to drive technological development from the ground up. ✨ At the auditorium of #Demokritos, last Saturday was far from an ordinary conference day. Organized by the Education Office of NCSR Demokritos, the University of Patras, and the University of West Attica “The Small & the Random” unfolded as a journey into one of the most fascinating realms of modern science: #QuantumPhysics. Through sessions that traced how it all began, explored #QuantumMechanics as a tool, connected science with art, and looked ahead to the #QuantumFuture, distinguished scientists and creators shared how quantum ideas extend far beyond the laboratory. Their talks made complex ideas feel clear and alive, turning the technical into deeply human and uncertainty into understanding. 🎤 When Stefanos Trachanas stepped onto the stage, he reminded us that science is not just about finding answers but also about learning to ask better questions and keeping the sense of wonder alive. “The Small & the Random” marked a moment in a story that keeps unfolding here at our Center, a story where #QuantumScience meets art, imagination, and the questions that drive discovery forward.
