October 10 was World Mental Health Day. Cédric Dufour, CEO and President of Rakuten France shares his perspective including sharing that the statistic that 1 in 4 people in the workplace admit that they are struggling with their mental health in some way. Cedric urges, "we must offer listening and support relays. Rakuten International and its People Experience team have adopted the Modern Health platform so that Rakuten International employees have access to sessions with psychologists or therapists, stress management workshops or meditation classes." 🧠 En cette journée mondiale de la santé mentale, chacun de nous peut agir : en contribuant à réduire l'incertitude. Car l’incertitude – c’est prouvé scientifiquement – est l’une des principales causes de la dépression. Ce n’est pas moi qui le dis, mais le psychiatre et académicien Raphael Gaillard. Malheureusement, le monde autour de nous est de moins en moins prévisible. Sur les plans géopolitique, politique, économique, l’incertitude est grande. Et anxiogène. Les impacts sur notre santé mentale sont majeurs : en 2025, un quart des 15-29 ans se disent atteints de dépression. Et près d’un Français sur cinq souffrira d’une dépression au cours de sa vie. 👉 Face à cela, chacun à son échelle a un rôle à jouer : en donnant des repères, en apportant de la clarté, en permettant aux autres de se projeter avec confiance dans le temps long. C’est crucial en entreprise, où 1 salarié sur 4 se dit en mauvaise santé mentale. ➡️ En tant que dirigeant, je crois à l’importance du temps passé avec les équipes, pour expliquer vision et stratégie, pour partager le sens et donner un cap clair. Nos séminaires d’équipe et rituels hebdomadaires #asakai sont tout sauf du temps perdu ! ➡️ Il faut offrir des relais d’écoute et de soutien. Rakuten International et son équipe People Experience ont adopté la plateforme Modern Health pour toutes les entreprises du groupe. Tous les collaborateurs peuvent avoir accès à des séances gratuites avec des psychologues ou des thérapeutes, des ateliers de gestion du stress ou encore des cours de méditation. Cela ne règlera bien évidemment pas tout.
