The rise of the can is here to stay. Across the trans-Tasman, cans aren’t just growing, they’re taking over. Brands and consumers are choosing aluminium over plastic and glass for portability and sustainability. Health & wellness drinks are booming, like low-calorie seltzers, functional beverages, and premium juices, which has contributed to this trend. Craft beer, RTDs, and non-alcoholic “adult” drinks are pushing bold flavours and limited runs are also on the rise - RTD seltzers alone are set to grow ~24% in Australia this year compared to 2024. For brands, speed and flexibility matter. That’s where we come in. Recorp makes it easy to innovate quickly, test new ideas with low MOQs, and get products into cans - and consumers’ hands - fast. Bold flavours. Better-for-you drinks. Smarter beverages. Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/giHNX-gu

Our story was featured in the October issue of Kia Ora magazine, showcasing how Recorp is rethinking what’s possible in packaging - from cans made with 85% recycled aluminium to initiatives that help businesses be more innovative and sustainable. “How great would it be if in 2030 I’m at a service station, and there were no plastic bottles, just aluminium cans”- Bruce Parton, CEO Recorp. We love supporting local businesses like this one and it was great having you in to witness your cans coming off the line Rebecca Caughey!
There’s nothing quite like the buzz of watching your cans get dressed up and ready for the world 🤩 This morning at Recorp NZ we saw our latest run of Good Sh*t cans rolling hot off the press ✨ That moment when the design rolls off the line and becomes real never gets old! So cool to have a world-class NZ can printer supporting local drinks businesses. Big cheers to the team making it happen 👏 #GoodSh*t #CannedJoy #NZMade #FizzFeels

Plastics are quietly impacting our health at every stage of life, often through everyday packaging and bottles. The evidence is mounting, and the takeaway is clear: change is urgent. Aluminium offers a safer, circular alternative for beverage containers and with ReCan85, 85% of every can is recycled right here in NZ. Erin Nugent on how wine in a can is on the rise.
I recently caught up with Philip Gregan, CEO of New Zealand Wine, and one big topic on the table was the rise of wine in a can. Globally, canned wine is gaining momentum and this is an area I'm especially focused on helping to grow. It’s convenient, lighter to transport, recyclable, and connects strongly with younger audiences and export markets. It’s an exciting space and I'm looking forward to working with more NZ wine brands to explore the opportunity. If you would like to chat about where canned wine could take your business, I’d love to connect and please reach out. Recorp NZ

She’s passionate about building lasting relationships and helping brands grow - the perfect fit as we continue expanding Recorp and showing more customers why aluminium is the future of beverage packaging. Feel free to reach out to Erin and more to come from her in the coming weeks. Learn more about our team: https://lnkd.in/gCXt-q9B

Our CEO Bruce Parton was featured in Canmaker talking about another local first we’re proud to share. Recorp has produced NZ’s first commercial Retort cans. These cans withstand heat up to 121°C for 30 minutes, making them ideal for pasteurised drinks while maintaining the highest food safety standards. We’ve also developed special inks that handle these temperatures without compromising quality. A big step forward for Kiwi beverage innovation.
