A randomized study evaluated collagen-based meniscal scaffolds in Asian patients after partial meniscectomy, using 3D MRI volume analysis to track regeneration. The product used in this study was Biomeniscus (Cellumed, Korea), a porous meniscus-shaped collagen scaffold, approved as a clinical trial product by the Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Over 12 months, patients with scaffold implants showed a significantly higher meniscus defect-filling ratio (7.5%) compared to controls (−0.4%), along with stable scaffold incorporation and improved MRI signal intensity. While clinical scores were comparable at 12 months, the regenerative potential of collagen was clearly demonstrated. Regenity’s Rejuvaknee® leverages the benefits of collagen to support natural healing and restore structure in partial meniscectomy procedures. We’re building on this clinical foundation to deliver next-generation scaffolds that drive long-term recovery. Chronic wounds, such as diabetic and infective ulcers, affect millions worldwide and often resist conventional treatment. This review highlights the role of collagen-based biomaterials in overcoming stalled healing by providing structural support, biochemical cues, and a regenerative environment. Tissue-engineered scaffolds—especially those built on collagen—are helping re-initiate the wound-healing cascade in cases where progress has stalled. If you are seeking a reliable option in managing chronic wounds, Regenity’s expertise with collagen-based biomaterials can help. We can design and develop xenograft collagen matrices that supports revascularization, cellular infiltration, and soft tissue remodeling that fit your requirements. This October, we celebrate Julissa Irribarren, Label Preparation Associate at our Mahwah location, as our Employee Spotlight. Julissa began her career with Regenity in June 2013 in the final packaging area, where she spent five years supporting our process of transforming bioresorbable materials into regenerative solutions. She later embraced a new opportunity in label verification and preparation, and she continues to bring her skills and experience to her role each day. Reflecting on her journey, Julissa shares: “It’s a company that has grown a lot over the years, and I love being a part of it.” Beyond work, she treasures time with her family and makes the most of every beautiful moment life brings. For more than a decade, Julissa has exemplified the spirit of Regenity, strengthening our culture of collaboration as she continues to make a material difference. #EmployeeSpotlight #Innovation #LifeAtRegenity #Teamwork

Engineered Collagen Scaffolds for Tendon Regeneration Tendon injuries often lead to poor outcomes due to postsurgical fibrosis. This study developed collagen-coated scaffolds designed for multifunctional tendon regeneration and drug delivery. Researchers fabricated aligned electrospun PLA microfibers then coated them with Type I collagen, mimicking native tendon structure. These scaffolds, loaded with an anti-fibrotic agent, demonstrated enhanced stiffness, prolonged drug release, and effective human tenocyte infiltration in in-vitro studies. Regenity has the capability to design and develop products that support tendon repair and regeneration with our expertise in collagen type I and synthetic polymer biomaterials. Our technology capabilities also help us design a non-constricting encasement for injured tendons that facilitates host tissue ingrowth and repair. The systematic review below highlights carbonate apatite (CO₃Ap) as a high-potential material in bone reconstructive surgery and tissue engineering. With strong biocompatibility, controlled resorption, and osteoconductive behavior, CO₃Ap closely mimics native bone and supports predictable integration with minimal immune response. Its growing use in scaffolding, coatings, and grafts reflects a shift toward more bone-like, biologically informed substitutes. Regenity follows this same design philosophy, developing carbonate apatite bone graft substitutes to provide a scaffold that supports cellular activity, vascularization, and structural bone regeneration. Whether in oral surgery or orthopedic applications, our products can help clinicians meet the challenges of bone repair.
