Reset! network
Non-profit Organizations
The European network gathering and supporting independent cultural and media organisations.
About us
Reset! is a European network launched at the end of 2021 as part of the Creative Europe program. It has been designed and built to document the situation of independent culture and media across Europe and beyond, empower its members as well as to advocate for a re-positioning of independence as a core value in the cultural sector. Building upon the French "Appel des Indépendants" launched in March 2020 by Arty Farty in the context of the pandemic, it aims to create a new cultural and social contract at European level. Reset! brings together a large range of diverse cultural and media organisations committed to supporting independence, freedom of expression, diversity, inclusion, and sustainable development.

Together, they discussed pressing issues shared by their two structures, such as building sustainable models for grassroots cultural spaces and the role of radio and cultural spaces to building community. This exchange also allowed our two members to start imagining some 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. We are very excited for what’s to come for this Berlin – East London connection!

🇱🇹 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗻𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿: 𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝙉𝘼𝙍𝘼! Tomorrow (Sunday 5th October), we will be handing over the keys to our Instagram account to 𝙉𝘼𝙍𝘼, an independent media and our Lithuanian partners, to provide live coverage of nationwide protests against the handover of the Culture Ministry to the populist Nemunas Dawn party. The cultural community voiced concern that the ministry is being entrusted to a political force known for its populist and pro-Russian rhetoric. The nationalist party also embraces positions prominent among right-wing groups in Europe, including opposition to LGBTQ+ rights, restrictive immigration policies and reluctance to support Ukraine. Its leader, Remigijus Žemaitaitis, has been prosecuted and found guilty for violating the Constitution by making antisemitic statements. After a week in office under mounting public pressure, the newly-appointed culture minister, Ignotas Adomavičius, resigned on Friday (yesterday). Yet the cultural community says its strike will continue as long as the ministry remains under the control of the Nemunas Dawn party. 📱 Follow us tomorrow on Reset! network Instagram (link in comment) to see events unfold in Lithuania, brought to you by our independent media partner, 𝙉𝘼𝙍𝘼.
