Thanks to your support, we raised over $3M to help provide families with access to the care and resources they need across their child’s healthcare journey.

Today we honor the life and legacy of Jimmy Murray, one of the visionary founders of Ronald McDonald House Charities. In 1974, as General Manager of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jimmy joined forces with Dr. Audrey Evans, Fred Hill, and McDonald's to open the very first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. What began as a single House has grown into a global organization, supporting millions of families with children who are ill or injured around the world. Jimmy’s leadership, compassion, and belief in the power of community changed the way families experience care during life’s most difficult moments. His vision lives on in every Ronald McDonald House around the globe, and in every family we serve.

Today, we honor and celebrate the life of Ginger Hardage, Ronald McDonald House Charities Global Trustee and former Board Chair. A force for good in the world, Ginger was a steadfast advocate for our mission, and she guided RMHC with wisdom, compassion, and optimism. Her leadership and dedication have left an enduring legacy on our mission and the millions of families we serve around the world.

On Monday, Ronald McDonald House Charities hosted our first-ever RMHC Salon, an intimate, mission-driven event designed to explore the future of pediatric healthcare and how RMHC is evolving to meet the ever-growing needs of families worldwide. Hosted by our Global Board of Trustees, the evening brought together more than 80 community leaders from across sectors who share a passion for advancing equitable access to healthcare. At the heart of the event was a compelling fireside chat between RMHC Global President & CEO, Katie Fitzgerald, and our Board Chair, Alex Dimitrief, who spoke candidly about our strategic direction, from brand modernization and mental health support to global expansion and research that guides how we serve families. We’re deeply grateful to all who joined us in this powerful conversation and energized by the impactful work ahead. A heartfelt thank you to HAVI for graciously hosting us at their headquarters, and to Chris Kempczinski and our founding and forever mission partner, McDonald's, for their continued support. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, and guardians! Today we are celebrating fathers like Ed Sanchez, Chairman of Lopez Dorada who are actively supporting children in need of healthcare. Ed and his wife, Jodi, first connected with Ronald McDonald House Charities more than 30 years ago when their son was hospitalized. Their experience connecting with other families going through similar situations left a lasting impression and became the beginning of an ongoing, decades-long relationship with RMHC. From helping open Houses across Latin America to supporting local Chapters in Miami and Oklahoma City, Ed and Jodi have championed our mission wherever life has taken them. Over the last 20 years, under Ed’s leadership, Lopez Dorada has become a proud, long-term partner of RMHC. The company has donated nearly $2 million to RMHC Global and is a proud supporter of their local Chapter, Ronald McDonald House Charities® Oklahoma City, through Board service, employee engagement and event sponsorship. The RMHC and Lopez Dorada Foods partnership expands past local support. Ed Sanchez sits on the RMHC Global Board of Directors and Lopez Dorada is also an inaugural member of the RMHC Global Giving Collective, a unified group of McDonald's supplier partners that support the mission of RMHC. Happy #InternationalFamilyDay 🌎 Today we are celebrating the millions of incredible RMHC families around the world like Marc and Pierre's! In 2022, they welcomed three sons through surrogacy; the birth of their first son in Mexico and premature twins in Canada. They traveled almost 4,000 miles from France to Canada while their premature twin boys were being treated. Over the course of 8 weeks, Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto provided Marc and Pierre with the essential support and resources they needed to ensure the best health outcomes for their boys. 💙
