About us
Scott Edwards Architecture is a firm built on the premise that innovative design solutions result from a collaborative effort between architect, client and craftsperson. We lead our clients on an exploration of possibilities guided by traditional principles of design clarified through a contemporary perspective. Each project begins by understanding the opportunities and constraints, then establishing strategies that will guide the creative process. Our office believes that the end result of the design process should be a project that truly reflects the unique needs and desires of the client, is sensitive to site, and is technically sound.

In early October, Scott Edwards Architecture joined organization leaders, state and local representatives, and several hundred residents to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the new Nehalem Bay Health Center & Pharmacy. The SEA-designed, 16,000 square foot facility replaces a small, aging clinic that has served the region since the early 1980s. The 15 exam and procedure rooms will double the capacity of the current clinic and expand its offerings to include dentistry and mental health care. Thank you and congratulations to everyone who contributed to this impactful new community health center! 📸: Kelsey Baker 🏗️: Nehalem Bay Health District, Bremik Construction, Interface Engineering, Inc., ABHT Structural Engineers, Range Studio, LLC, Harper Houf Peterson Righellis Inc., O-LCC, Axiom Custom Products, Klosh Group, Inc. #HealthcareDesign #HealthcareArchitecture #CommunityHealthcareDesign #OregonCoast

There is still time to purchase an art piece from our Mahonia Crossing project while supporting a great cause! "Connecting all the Pieces: Mahonia Crossing Art Exhibition" is a donation-based art sale and installation that's now live on our website and at our office headquarters in Portland. Sales of this elementary-aged student art will benefit the Salem Art Association. Scott Edwards Architecture is excited to announce "Connecting all the Pieces: Mahonia Crossing Art Exhibition and Sale," a donation-based art sale and installation that's now live on our website and at our office headquarters in Portland. Our design approach promotes the integration of art and architecture. This is the case with Mahonia Crossing, a mixed-income “Community for All Ages” housing development in Salem that incorporated art created by elementary-aged students from a nearby school. The art consists of collages, paintings, and drawings, some of which required scanning the original and printing on fade-resistant paper. This left SEA with a handful of wonderful original pieces, sparking an idea to pass the art forward while supporting a great cause, the Salem Art Association. To view the available art and read more about this program and what inspired it, follow the link to our website! 🎨: https://ow.ly/lzEb50X5Ww4 #ArtAndArchitecture #ArchitectureFirm #PortlandArchitect

Art is integrated throughout SEA's Mahonia Crossing project. The wonderful mixed-media piece shown in this corridor photo was enlarged from the original to fit the space. Because of this, the original is available as part of our "Connecting all the Pieces: Mahonia Crossing Art Exhibition," and we may be biased, but we think it would look just as good on your wall 👏 This donation-based art sale and installation is live on our website and at our office headquarters in Portland. Sales of this elementary-aged student art will benefit the Salem Art Association. Proud to contribute to this impactful project.
The City has opened the pre-bid process for contractors to build Vancouver’s new Bridge Shelter (5313 N.E. 94th Ave.). This 120-bed space is designed with service providers to include on-site care, case management, medication-assisted treatment, a kitchen and community gathering space. All necessary to provide stability and create a pathway from homelessness to sustainable housing. This milestone shifts the project from planning to action. Formal bidding opens Sept. 30, construction is set to begin later this year, and doors are expected to open in fall 2026. Special thanks to Rep. Suzanne Bonamici; Oregon Secretary of State Tobias Read; Tillamook County legislators Suzanne Weber and Cyrus Javadi and many others for joining us for what is one of the major health care advances in Oregon this year. And thanks to: Scott Edwards Architecture; Bremik Construction and Klosh Group, Inc. for excellent work on the new Health Center.
