A year ago, Sixfold was on the winning stage at Zurich Insurance’s Innovation Championship. Yesterday, our founder and CEO, Alex Schmelkin, was invited back to share what’s happened since and how far the collaboration has come... As Zurich North America CEO Kristof Terryn put it: “Sixfold delivers insights to make fast and confident decisions, ultimately driving better engagement with brokers and customers alike.” What started as a pilot with 16 underwriters is now used by hundreds across North America and is expanding globally. BIG news: Sixfold has been named one of CB Insights’ Insurtech 50 winners for 2025! 🙌 That’s our second year in a row making the list of the world’s most promising insurtech startups. DevDay 2025 was electric. Thanks to #OpenAI for featuring my name in the keynote and the token of appreciation for Sixfold processing over a 100 billion tokens 🤯 The through-line this year: - Agents are the new runtime, excited to see e2e platform for developing and shipping agents. Mixed feelings about agent builder, looks like a good tool to prototype agents with, but no code can only go so far in production from experience - Context > prompt-craft, mastering context engineering will 10x your productivity (Codex) and improve accuracy of your agents - Evals Driven Development is the new norm, building robust and accurate agentic systems are challenging due to their non deterministic nature, the theme was Keep It Simple Silly (KISS), quality > quantity and establish a feedback loop asap, take a data driven approach to optimize your workflow and prompts, automate as much as possible P.S Being an engineer would prefer being on the highest ROI for tokens leaderboard but understand that’s an mammoth attribution challenge 🙂 . . . . #DevDay #OpenAIDevDay #DevDay2025 #AI #GenAI #Agents

BIG launch day! Sixfold goes beyond insights ➡️ action. Since AI's introduction in underwriting, it's been about surfacing information. But there's always been a gap between AI that knows what needs to be done and AI that actually does it. Fairness and transparency are core to what we build at Sixfold. ⚖️ So how do we make sure the outputs from our Life & Health AI are fair? Most traditional fairness tests assume a binary decision – approve or deny, high or low risk. But those metrics don’t apply at Sixfold. Our Life & Health AI analyzes complex medical records and surfaces relevant information based on each insurer’s risk appetite, so underwriters can make decisions with confidence.
