📣 This summer, we had the opportunity to welcome Bryson McBride to the Smith-Rowe Team. He's a Civil Engineering student attending NC State University who joined us as an intern. Bryson spent time in the field with our bridge, utility, and grading crews, gaining exposure to different aspects of the work and a firsthand look at how projects come together on-site. Today marks the conclusion of my 2025 summer internship with SMITH-ROWE, LLC. I am sincerely grateful to Joseph D. Phillips and the entire Smith-Rowe team for the opportunity, along with their patience, guidance, and willingness to share their knowledge throughout the summer. During my time here, I gained hands-on experience working alongside utility, bridge, and grading crews, learning how each operates and how blueprints are transformed into completed projects. I also had the opportunity to observe and participate in the day-to-day responsibilities of project management when I wasn’t with a crew. While I still have much to learn, the skills and insights I developed during this internship will be ones I never forget in my professional future, and I am deeply appreciative of the experience.
