Earlier this month, in partnership with Jefferson Health, we opened our newest center in Flourtown, PA. With the goal of further expanding access to women’s breast health services across the tri-state area, the new center marks the 17th Jefferson Health-Solis Mammography center in Pennsylvania. With eight new centers opened since June, it's been a busy summer at Solis Mammography. As featured by Radiology Business, we've opened new centers all across Texas, from Missouri City to Cedar Park to Brownsville, and our first location in the Raleigh metropolitan area. In response to the rising incidence rates of breast cancer in younger women, this summer we’re shifting the conversation from “start thinking about your breast health at 40” to “start thinking about it now.” According to recent data from the American Cancer Society, breast cancer incidence rates are increasing at 1.4% annually in younger women - double the rate of older women, whose cases are rising by 0.7% per year. Conversations around breast health often don't start until women begin getting annual mammograms at the age of 40. But with growing clinical evidence and high-profile cases drawing attention to early diagnoses, Solis Mammography wants to empower younger women to advocate for their breast health earlier.
