From our natural gas facilities at Plant Franklin to our solar panels at Taylor County Solar Center, these students explored generation up close and experienced firsthand the various roles that create clean, safe and reliable energy. They explored natural gas generation, learned about future career opportunities and saw how their classroom lessons apply in the real world. We are excited to announce Hank Adams has been named Chief Business Development Officer. Hank will be responsible for Southern Power's business development of new large-load customer opportunities with natural gas, storage, solar and wind generation solutions. This role will also lead and coordinate all unregulated activities for new large loads across the country for PowerSecure and Southern Telecom, in coordination with the overall Southern Company large load strategy. Hank’s experience with large customers and breadth of knowledge in generating assets will be invaluable as we work to expand our capabilities to best serve our customers with their growth needs. Join us in congratulating Hank as he returns to Southern Power.

Today, we take a moment to honor and reflect on the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. In observance of Memorial Day, Southern Power employees, alongside the VetNet employee resource group, dedicated their time to support the Alabama National Cemetery. Volunteers came together to place flags at the headstones of Veterans in Montevallo, Alabama, ensuring their memories and contributions are never forgotten. Together, we strive to preserve the legacy of those who have served by upholding the values they fought to protect.
