BUT THE TRUTH IS: Europe’s success depends on citizens and companies embracing the technology. This was also a key takeaway from the Bitkom’s Politischer Abend mit Federal Digital Minister Dr Karsten Wildberger (@BMDS). eIDAS 2.0 and the EUDI Wallet Regulation define the legal and technical framework, yet #trust remains the true engine behind adoption. 1️⃣ Use cases matter: Citizens and companies must see tangible benefits: fewer forms, faster onboarding, safer identities. 2️⃣ Interoperability builds trust: A wallet that works across Europe needs shared standards and users who feel it is usable and secure. 3️⃣ Engagement drives adoption: Innovation thrives only when people and organisations are willing to test, learn and contribute. Across Europe, #550 private companies and public authorities in 26 Member States, as well as partners from Norway, Iceland and Ukraine, are now part of the Large Scale Pilots coordinated by the European Commission.
