Physicians, advanced practice providers, and health care leadership came together recently for the 3rd Annual Regional Cardiovascular Services Summit, hosted by St. Peter’s Health Partners and St. Joseph's Health. The event kicked off with a Continuing Medical Education course, providing attendees 3.0 hours of CME credit. Muhammad Khan, MD and Ziad El-Khally, MD, from St. Joseph’s Health Cardiovascular Institute in Syracuse, were joined by Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD, president of Mt. Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital and physician-in-chief of Mt. Sinai Hospital. The CME session was followed by a presentation from Chief Strategy Officer Mark Murphy, who led the group through a cardiovascular forecast, complete with information on where the specialty is headed over the next several years. The keynote speaker, Marilyn Glassberg, MD, FACP, FCCP, the John W. Clarke endowed professor and chair of the department of medicine at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine (Loyola Medicine), led a thought-provoking conversation among our teams about building a regional presence for cardiovascular services. “The discussions that took place both during and after Dr. Glassberg’s presentation were excellent,” said James Phillip, MD, St. Peter’s Health Partners, and co-chairperson of the summit. “We have the ability to really work together, between Albany and Syracuse, to build the best cardiovascular services in the region.” Thank you to all who participated!

You know that energy you get watching people connect or when you're learning something new? So fortunate to have BOTH as the board members of our Syracuse area and Albany area clinically integrated networks, health system leaders and stakeholders came together for our 2nd Annual New York Regional Board Summit. Really special to see the connections across physicians, clinical leaders and system leaders. Would like to share a huge public thank you to our keynote speakers who shared their time and made the day great- Jason Helgerson shared some fascinating insights from his perspective as a international change facilitator in value based payment. Tori Bratcher dove into current state and future strategy of Trinity Health value based care and Todd Poquette DHT, AFI drove home the framework for doing hard things, why we should celebrate it and our ability to face it (because its hard these days). So many thanks to give to all our leaders who attended and spent the hours committed to supporting IHANY and CNYAIM and of course, gratitude to our amazing IHANY and CNYAIM teams across St. Joseph's Health and St. Peter's Health Partners. https://ihany.org/ https://cnyaim.org/

Meet Youlanda Campbell, Senior Registration Associate. We are grateful for Youlanda’s dedication and excited to see where her career takes her! #WhyIWorkatSPHP “I’ve been with SPHP for about two years, and what I love most is the sense of family and care that surrounds me every day. It’s more than just a job—it’s a community built on genuine support, compassion, and teamwork. SPHP has truly invested in my growth, offering both career development and skill-building opportunities. It’s rare to find a workplace that delivers both, but here, I’m surrounded by colleagues who care and leaders who mentor, train, and uplift. It’s a motivating environment that makes me proud to be part of this team.”
