📌On October 8th, 2025, STIPP Instrument was proud to be part of Growth Across Borders (GAB25) in Aachen – a vibrant event that brought together over 100 stakeholders from the Life Science and MedTech sectors across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. A highlight of the day was the fully booked workshop “How to Establish Innovation Partnerships Across Borders – SMEs Provide Exclusive Insights”, held in the inspiring setting of the collective Incubator at RWTH Aachen University. With more than 30 participants, the session offered a deep dive into the practical realities of cross-border collaboration. The workshop was organized by Ralf P. Meyer & Oliver Salden (AGIT MBH) and Olivier HEYNEN (Wallonie Entreprendre). Olivier Heynen opened with a introduction, Ralf Meyer moderated the workshop, and Oliver Salden presented the STIPP funding instrument – a powerful tool designed to help companies initiate and strengthen innovation partnerships across borders. Participants benefited from firsthand insights shared by experienced entrepreneurs: 🔹 Dr. Eike G. We’re delighted to share that 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟮 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗣 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 under Interreg Meuse-Rhine (NL-BE-DE) has once again been a great success! A total of 𝟭𝟮 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 were submitted, 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟯𝟲 𝗦𝗠𝗘𝘀 from across the region — a clear sign of the strong cross-border innovation spirit within the Euregio. With over €𝟯 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗥𝗗𝗙 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱, the projects cover an impressive range of themes: from 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶-𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 and 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 to 𝗔𝗜, 𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹-𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀, and 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 Einstein Telescope. 🔋 Cross-border innovation in the energy sector! Yesterday, we had the pleasure of presenting the Interreg Meuse-Rhine (NL-BE-DE) project STIPP together with Crossroads FWVL at the S3-DIS4 Energy and Building Innovators Event in the inspiring Thor Park, Genk. 🗣️ A joint session by Wallonie Entreprendre (Olivier HEYNEN & Milan Debrulle) and VLAIO - Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (Luc Debougnoux) highlighted how cross-border cooperation can accelerate innovation in the energy sector. 📊 Over 85 participants – including 11 dedicated SMEs – took the opportunity to network and exchange ideas.
