Spotlight on SUSA partner iCognitus! 💡 iCognitus is a Portuguese software development company that delivers secure and adaptable digital solutions at the intersection of technology and healthcare education, with a focus on digital transformation of learning to build professional competence and promote a more skilled health workforce. As the infrastructure and development partner for the SUSA - Sustainable Healthcare with Digital Health Data Competence Project, iCognitus is responsible for designing and building the education support infrastructures. The central deliverable is the SUSA Virtual Campus - a dynamic and secure digital hub that will host all learning materials and interactive resources for sustainable healthcare and digital health training. Combining software engineering, user-centered design, and e-learning expertise, iCognitus is developing a scalable and integrated ecosystem designed around the real needs of SUSA learners and educators to bring the SUSA community together in a digital environment. The project is driven by a dedicated team, led by José Pêgo, the CEO and Co-Founder, who provides strategic direction alignment with the project’s overarching goals; @Nuno S., CTO and Co-founder, who spearheads technical development and leads the development team; Ana Cunha, Task coordinator, who manages the implementation and integration of the digital infrastructures; and João Pedro Monteiro , Education Lead, who drives pedagogical design and supports the development of SLEs. 💡 Spotlight on Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) – Partner in SUSA! The School of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) is one of the most prominent and well-established medical schools in Greece. As part of the SUSA - Sustainable Healthcare with Digital Health Data Competence project, AUTH will actively contribute through two of its leading research units: 1) the Lab of Computing, Medical Informatics and Biomedical Imaging Technologies (LOMI), and 1) the Lab of Biological Chemistry. AUTH will leverage its extensive experience in medical education and digital health to: ·       design and co-develop the SUSA curriculum, ·       adapt and integrate innovative courses tailored to the diverse needs of healthcare professionals, ·       and engage a wider audience of students and professionals interested in digital health. AUTH is also the lead partner for Work Package 3 (WP3): Co-design of the SUSA Education Program, under the scientific coordination of Professor Ioanna Chouvarda Prof. Ioanna Chouvarda has a long-standing background in research and education in digital health. Her expertise focuses on biomedical data analysis and management, development of eHealth systems and the design of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in biomedical informatics. Deepening Global Collaboration for the Future of Healthcare The School of Medicine at the University of Seville (US), Spain, welcomed Professor Ignacio Brusco, Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. The visit happened last Friday, October 24th. Professor Brusco was received by the current Dean of the US School of Medicine, Professor Manuel Eugenio Dorado Ocaña. Dr. Guido Giunti helped facilitate discussions on advancing Digital Skills and AI. This important trilateral meeting builds upon the recent cooperation agreement between US and UBA. All three institutions are key partners in the SUSA - Sustainable Healthcare with Digital Health Data Competence project.
