Genus recently attended the ribbon cutting for the Iowa Motor Truck Association’s newly renovated west wing conference center and chairman’s courtyard. The courtyard serves as a space to recognize past (and future) chairmen who have provided leadership for Iowa’s trucking industry over the past eight decades. Five aluminum 'fins' highlight the names of 78 chairmen and showcase both company logos and photographs from IMTA’s history. Over 20 tons of granite boulders are nestled across the plantings, providing seating opportunities and a visual reminder of the freight that IMTA's members transport. Together, these elements serve as vivid timeline and celebration of the people who have shaped not only the organization, but the larger trucking industry across the Midwest.
