🚨 Spoiler: You were right all along — AI and social media really are rotting our brains. I dive into this in my latest Op-Ed on Techstrong.ai and in this article here on LinkedIn, riffing on a new NYT piece that says using AI as your “Google substitute” literally makes you learn less. But here’s the kicker: Google — the thing we used to blame for making us lazy — now looks like the “smart” option compared to AI doing all the thinking for us. I’ve seen this dumbing-down happen from the Dewey Decimal days to the ChatGPT era. The easier information gets, the less effort we make to understand it. Still, there’s hope. Use AI as a spark, not a shortcut — and we might yet dodge the fate of those poor humans in Wall-E.
