Haskell team members worldwide celebrated Construction Inclusion Week, an industry-wide movement focused on creating workplaces where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to succeed. This year’s theme, “Building a Workplace for Everyone,” invited us to continue reimagining how our industry attracts, nurtures and retains talent. This year, we placed a special focus on neurodiversity. Neurodiversity reminds us that people experience and process the world differently, and that those differences make us stronger.  The week’s activities included the following:  🔹 A Lunch & Learn with Brandon Telk, a University of Florida instructional designer and academic program specialist, exploring neurodiversity in the workplace.  🔹 A networking circle that provided a safe and inclusive forum for employees to share experiences, ask questions, and discuss how to better support colleagues.  🔹 An awareness campaign that shared articles and resources throughout the week to encourage empathy, education, and action. Haskell is partnering with Henderson County, North Carolina, and Cooper Construction Company to deliver the Judicial Center Addition and Renovation (JCAR) Project, the largest capital investment in the county’s history.  This $173 million initiative represents a significant step in supporting a growing population and advancing the county’s commitment to safety, efficiency and justice. The multi-phase project includes:  🔹 New four-story courthouse  🔹 Modernized detention center expansion  🔹 Secure above-ground tunnel connecting the two Designed to meet the county’s long-term needs, the JCAR project reflects years of planning and collaboration among community leaders and county officials. Phase One, the detention center expansion, is underway. The courthouse addition is scheduled to begin in 2026 with full completion anticipated in 2028. On Day 4 of Construction Inclusion Week  2025, we’re focused on the power of partnership.    For the past 60 years, Haskell has worked to include and benefit subcontractors and vendors from all walks of life.
