This 16-week internship will provide an intensive overview and hands-on experience within the Collections Photography Studio and Imaging Services Division. The Menil Collection opens "Robert Rauschenberg: Fabric Works of the 1970s" on September 19. Organized for the artist’s centennial in collaboration with the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, the presentation features major loans from museum collections and the artist’s foundation and will be the first museum survey of Rauschenberg’s innovative use of cloth in this era. This display focuses on a core group of paintings from the 1950s and ’60s, in which the artist rendered impossible situations with virtuosic precision and uncanny clarity.
