Great takeaways from Meeting on the Mesa 2025 from our CEO, Tony Pare, and CCO, Jonathan Wofford. When you look at where advanced therapies are heading, three themes are apparent:   • Academic medical centers are playing a growing role in manufacturing, helping close the gap between lab discoveries and the patients who need them. • Data, data, data, the industry can't scale or perfect therapies without it. The inaugural Title21 Advisory Council convened leaders from the cell and gene therapy industry to address some of the sector’s most pressing challenges. The conversation was clear: - Interoperability must keep pace with decentralized and mobile care models. - Cross-sector collaboration between hospitals, academia, and manufacturers is essential to scale therapies. - Data-driven insight can unlock predictive analytics, demonstrating ROI in quality, cost, and scalability. Council members Dr. Stella K. Vnook, Jeff Liter, Elena Maryamchik, MD, MBA, Robert Richards, and Caitlin Cahill identified the actionable solutions needed to accelerate innovation and bring safer, more effective therapies to patients. What the survey surfaced: - Training practices vary widely across CGT labs, revealing a lack of standardization. - Teams need centralized resources and a clear, competency-based curriculum to accelerate onboarding. - Practical training models (mentorship/apprenticeship, simulation, and structured competencies) can help programs scale without compromising quality.
