Today we remember Bertha Lutz, born #OnThisDay in 1894. She was among only 4 women to sign the United Nations Charter in 1945 in an effort to help maintain international #peace and security. In a profession dominated by men, #BerthaLutz was not only a diplomat, but also a zoologist and politician. #GlobalGoals #UN80

One million women and girls in #Gaza are facing mass starvation, violence, and abuse. Malnutrition is soaring, and essential services have long since collapsed, forcing women and girls to adopt increasingly dangerous survival strategies.
