Hussein, 11, loves playing football. He was injured by a bomb during the war in Sudan, leaving him without a leg. But his love for football remains as strong as ever. At a UNICEF-supported digital learning centre in Khartoum, he takes lessons and dreams of a brighter future. For children like Hussein, peace is an absolute must so they can make their dreams come true.

We are delighted to see UNIMMAP MMS featured in TIME’s 2025 Best Inventions list! UNIMMAP MMS — the United Nations International Multiple Micronutrient Antenatal Preparation formula of Multiple Micronutrient Supplements — may be a long and technical name, but the way it works is very simple. It is a nutritional supplement for pregnant women which supports healthier pregnancies and safer births by reducing the risk of stillbirths and preterm births, especially in low- and middle-income countries. This recognition by TIME is a shared achievement for Kirk Humanitarian, UNICEF, the World Health Organization, the United Nations University, government leaders, partners, researchers, donors and advocates, which highlights the importance of investing in health interventions for women and their future children. https://lnkd.in/eX-5mU8t

Every girl has the right to feel safe at home, in her relationships and in her community. But too many are living in fear of someone they should be able to trust. This is a violation of their rights and their dignity. It must not be ignored. Every girl has the right to be safe. Always. She should have access to spaces and services where she is respected, supported and protected, in crises and beyond. #GirlGoals
