Seven-year-old Khang and his cousin Linh share a joyful moment in their home in Cao Bang province, Viet Nam. The house is still marked with mud in the aftermath of the recent typhoons. Khang’s house was almost completely flooded, so he and his family had to move to his grandmother’s home on higher ground. He misses school and his friends — and hopes things can soon feel normal again. UNICEF and partners are helping children like Khang recover from Typhoons Bualoi and Matmo by restoring classrooms, providing clean water, health care, cash and psychosocial support so families can rebuild their lives.

We are delighted to see UNIMMAP MMS featured in TIME’s 2025 Best Inventions list! UNIMMAP MMS — the United Nations International Multiple Micronutrient Antenatal Preparation formula of Multiple Micronutrient Supplements — may be a long and technical name, but the way it works is very simple. It is a nutritional supplement for pregnant women which supports healthier pregnancies and safer births by reducing the risk of stillbirths and preterm births, especially in low- and middle-income countries. This recognition by TIME is a shared achievement for Kirk Humanitarian, UNICEF, the World Health Organization, the United Nations University, government leaders, partners, researchers, donors and advocates, which highlights the importance of investing in health interventions for women and their future children. https://lnkd.in/eX-5mU8t
