On 13 October, the European Parliament’s FEMM Committee adopted the 2025 Gender Equality Strategy report, laying the foundation for the 2026–2030 EU strategy. The report calls for ambitious, binding actions across all areas of EU policy, with an intersectional approach addressing discrimination against women, LGBTIQ+ people, migrants, people with disabilities, and minority groups. It emphasizes: 🔹 Ending gender-based violence and recognizing femicide as a distinct crime 🔹 Ensuring equal pay and fair pensions, and valuing care work 🔹Guaranteeing gender-sensitive healthcare and full access to sexual and reproductive rights 🔹Boosting women’s representation in politics and decision-making 🔹Promoting a feminist EU foreign policy Gender equality is not just a value—it is a measure of democracy. #MeetTheSpeakers 🎓 Susanna Pisano Currently President of Confprofessioni Sardegna, Board Member of Fondoprofessioni, and Coordinator of the European Desk of Confprofessioni in Brussels 🇪🇺. She practiced as a lawyer for 40 years, holding numerous elective governance positions in the legal profession at both local and national levels, including as a member of the Organismo Unitario dell’Avvocatura (OUA) and Councillor of the National Bar Council (CNF) ⚖️. She provides legal consultancy for the design, execution, and management of projects funded by European programs and initiatives 💼. She has in-depth knowledge of continuous professional training systems and funding instruments.
