  • 🖥️ USUBC Participated in a Briefing with Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States Stefanishyna Olga On 20 October, Nadiia Khomaziuk, USUBC Executive Director, along with several USUBC NGO members took part in an introductory online briefing for leaders of the Ukrainian community, civic society organizations and consuls of Ukraine with the new Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Olga Stefanishyna. Ambassador Stefanishyna briefed participants on the results of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s recent visit to Washington D.C., the dynamics of bilateral dialogue, efforts to maintain and strengthen support for Ukraine, and key advocacy priorities moving forward.

  • 🎙️ USUBC and MHP Participated in IMF/World Bank Panel “Jobs after Shock: Can Crisis Unleash New Growth?” On 17 October, USUBC took part in the World Bank Knowledge Café held during the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund. The session, titled “Jobs after Shock: Can Crisis Unleash New Growth?”, explored how economies rebuild after crises and what enables some to generate new firms, ideas, and employment while others stagnate.   • 🤝 USUBC and AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International Forge Working Partnership On 17 October, USUBC and AUVSI met to discuss partnership opportunities, program alignment and members’ priorities in the drone industry, across the uncrewed and autonomous systems sector. With over 50 defense-sector members, USUBC represents a strong network engaged in Ukraine’s rapidly advancing drone ecosystem, which closely aligns with AUVSI’s global leadership in autonomous and uncrewed technologies. The two associations agreed to establish close cooperation aimed at supporting and enhancing U.S.-Ukraine dialogue in the drone industry, focusing on information exchange, member-to-member connections and joint programming. The meeting highlighted shared goals to accelerate innovation, interoperability, and practical collaboration in the UxS domain to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Michael Robbins

  • 📍 On 7 October USUBC conducted a membership business visit to Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works (KVSZ), one of Ukraine’s leading industrial enterprises and a long-time USUBC member, located in Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast. The visit was attended by representatives of USUBC member companies operating in the railway, agriculture, and logistics sectors, who came together to explore opportunities for cooperation, modernization, and integration with international supply chains. During the visit, participants received a detailed presentation on KVSZ’s production capabilities, technological modernization programs, and production potential. The KVSZ team showcased railcar manufacturing facilities, including passenger, freight, and specialized wagon production lines. The program also included a tour of the main assembly workshops and a networking meeting with the company’s leadership, providing a valuable platform for dialogue on industry development and joint projects. The visit was led by Eric Luhmann, Chair, USUBC Executive Committee and Director of Global Business Development & Special Projects, Amsted Rail Company, and Dmytro Filonenko, Director, Programming & Business Development, USUBC.   • 📌 On 16 October USUBC, together with Business Executives for National Security (BENS), held an in-person Breakfast Roundtable in Washington, D.C. The event brought together USUBC members and partners for an insightful discussion on Ukraine’s economic recovery, defense sector developments, and outcomes of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome. Welcome remarks were delivered by General Timothy Ray, USAF (Ret.), President & CEO, Business Executives for National Security (BENS), and Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). Ambassador Davide La Cecilia, Italy MFA’s Special Envoy for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, delivered keynote remarks on the key outcomes of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome. Yegor Perelygin, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, in his keynote remarks outlined Ukraine’s priorities under the newly launched U.S.-Ukraine Economic Partnership, including cooperation in energy, minerals, infrastructure, and recovery. The discussion featured Andrew Bain, Executive Director and Member of the Board of Directors, Ukrainian Freedom FundAnna Kovalenko, Senior Advisor, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC); and Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). The session was moderated by Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine; Senior Managing Director, Energy and Critical Minerals Practice, McLarty Associates. An engaging Q&A session followed, with participants exchanging perspectives on investment opportunities, policy developments, and private-sector engagement in Ukraine’s recovery.   • 📣 On 14 October USUBC hosted an in-person roundtable in Washington, D.C. with Oleksii Sobolev, CFA, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, bringing together USUBC members and partners for a meaningful discussion on the expanded mandate of the Ministry, its immediate priorities and the increasing role of private sector engagement in PPP and concessions projects. Minister Sobolev underscored the investment cases and current reforms designed to accelerate growth, improve SOE governance, attract private capital, drive the green transition, and boost productivity and exports. 💬 An active Q&A followed, with Minister Sobolev stating that “The momentum is definitely there, and we want you to invest into Ukraine,” a message that resonated across the room. Echoing this, USUBC President Irina Paliashvili noted, “The momentum is here, and the right team is here,” reflecting the strength and readiness of the U.S. private sector that USUBC represents.
