Industry Expert in Leadership, Job Market Analyst, and AI Analytics, I have been driving success for 20+ years. I am a multi-industry recruiting expert with the fastest job placement statistics in the industry.
I reviewed a survey on LinkedIn yesterday regarding the recruiting industry and it was asking people in talent and development how many people did not use Indeed to source, the percentage was higher than I thought, 40%. But I understand after thinking about how the industry has changed in the last 20 years. This is what I said, remember this is my opinion, but based on actual data. "The reason this 40% is so high, is because people who say they are recruiters don’t source, they have sources who do it for them. Which goes back to the definition of a recruiter. It has changed through the years. What we call a recruiter today was called a processor. They don’t source, they post and wait and process paperwork. The definition today is full cycle recruiter. Someone who sources, does industry employment analyst, salary analysts, total comp competitive analysts along with screening, setting up interviews partnering with hiring managers and employees of departments to determine their needs for the best candidate, make offers, negotiate, selling the company and position and building a relationship. SALES and Customer Service. . Recruiter is just the modern term for processor."
