“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
– Lucius Annaeus Seneca
After four years, the Venetian Letter, as you know it, is coming to an end.
Back in 2019, I met Michal Matlon at an environmental psychology conference in Prague. Our shared passion for human-centered, evidence-based architecture led us to write the Venetian Letter manifesto—and later, to launch a newsletter dedicated to connecting researchers, practitioners, and changemakers in our field.
Since then, we’ve published 33 newsletters, 70 interviews and articles, and reached over 50,000 people. It’s been an incredible journey—but now, we have decided to conclude this project in its current form.
While we’ve had the privilege of speaking with incredible people, we know that many others are doing equally important work to push this field forward. We may not have been able to highlight every voice, but we hope to continue connecting with you in other capacities in the future.
We are deeply grateful to all of you—our readers, contributors, and collaborators. Your insights, feedback, and support have shaped this project into something truly meaningful.
The Venetian Letter website will remain online, preserving over 150,000 words of knowledge. You can continue exploring the platform here: https://lnkd.in/dutfHQFJ
Our field is gaining momentum, with more initiatives bridging research and practice. Strengthening our community remains essential if we want to make a lasting impact.
Though this chapter ends, the conversation continues. We look forward to staying connected and discovering new ways to advance human-focused architecture together.
